They burst out of the narrow corner up ahead. Tripping on each other. I try to crawl back, but they get to Jacob first. The stun baton would not be enough to hold them back.
They jump right at him. I hear Jacob yell, but there is very little I can do.
- Du…ck!
I see his shape flattening against the cold metal and I just shoot at the swarm.
There is then another sound. An unexpected one. Some groaning far more powerful to be of one of those little devils’.
Suddenly, the conduct bend down. It's being ripped off like if it was a piece of paper. Jacob fall down. The rope is pulling me with him. I manage to have a grip at a nearby panel. I'm hanging by a thread. I won't hold on for long.
The little demons are backing off as multiple rows of teeth large like my shoulders are tearing the vent down.
