Dangerous Love

Chapter 2

After sending of Veera with his bodyguards, Sun decided to take some time off and roam the city as it has been some time since he visited Bangkok. It is almost midnight and the the streets are deserted. He felt calm walking in the empty streets. His thoughts are filled with that one person whom he abandoned 5 yrs back.

Sun POV:

It's been 5 years since I last saw Rune. He has grown up to be a handsome lad but I...I need to keep a distance from him. Because he is Black Dragon's rival. I owe my entire life to master Li. He took care of me like a son after my father was killed by cops during a shootout. He helped me complete my studies and even send me to US to pursue my post graduation. He never asked me to join the gang but I felt it's my obligation to be with the young master.

Five years back, I disregarded Rune's feelings because my duty demanded that sacrifice. Now looking at how he ignored me and kept looking at that handsome boy next to him, I felt a pang in my heart. Finally he has moved on while I am still stuck there.

Sun is so engrossed in his thoughts that he did not realize that there are shadows following him. He suddenly felt a movement behind him and he tried to dodge the attack but he was a second late. He felt a sharp pain on his head as something hard was used to hit him. They were 4 or 5 in number and they kept on hitting him with sticks and their boots. After some time, darkness started to creep into his eyes and only thing that was on his mind before he closed his eyes was to see Rune one last time.

At the Li Mansion:

Ming Li was trying to contact Sun for last 30 minutes but his phone is switched off. He is worried sick as it is unlike Sun to turn off his phone. He send a few men out to search for him but they came empty handed. He is pacing up and down when Veera entered the mansion.

Veera'sdad: Veera, is Sun with you?

Veera: No. He left as soon as we got out of the club. He said he need some alone time and that he will come back home for dinner.

Veera's dad: He has not reached home and his phone is switched off.

Veera quickly dials a number and speaks to someone urgently. He then disconnects the call and waits for an update. Soon his phone rings and he picks up the call. His expression changes to anger and then to concern on hearing the conversation from the other end of the call.

Veera: Which hospital?

Veera: I will be there in 15.

Veera's dad: Veera

Veera: PSun was ambushed. He has been taken to Bangkok Hospital. His condition is a bit critical. We need to go now.

Veera's dad nods his head and starts to walk out of the mansion followed by him. Veera pauses at the door and looks at Kla who is standing there in silence.

Veera: I need details of the attack on my table by the end of the day. I will not spare anyone who is responsible for it.

Kla nods his head.

Veera and his dad leave for the hospital while Kla starts searching for the culprit.

At the hospital:

Veera and his dad has been waiting outside the Intensive care unit for past 30 minutes. Doctors and nurses have been rushing in and out but no update has been given. After waiting for a long time, a doctor approaches them.

Veera's dad: Doctor, how is Sun?

Doctor: His injuries are grave. He has lost a lot of blood and there are multiple fractures. But what concerns us the most is his head injury. He..

Veera: Doctor..

Doctor: He is in coma right now. We are not sure how long he will be in this state.

Veera's dad plops down on the seat holding his head in his palm.

Veera's dad: His dad left him in my care. I should not have allowed him to join the gang. What am I..

Veera: Dad, please calm down. PSun will be okay. We will provide him the best care and he will be absolutely fine.

Veera hugs his dad and tries to sooth his pain. He suddenly looks at Veera with blazing eyes.

Veera's dad: Find him. I want that guy who did this to Sun before me.

Veera: I promise you dad, I will find him and he will be on his knees before you, soon.

Veera quickly walks out of the hospital and calls Kla.

Veera: Hello

Kla: Hello

Veera: Did you find anything?

Kla: hmm. I am sending a footage. Just watch it.

Veera checks the footage send by Kla and his jaw tightens in anger. He gets back on the call with Kla.

Veera: I am sending you a photo. Get him to our safe house and if someone opposes, just bring them in too.

Kla: Yes Boss

Veera disconnects the call. He searches his image folder and opens a particular photo. Veera's eyes become cold as he looks at photo.

Veera: You shouldn't have touched PSun. Now your boy will suffer the consequences.

Veera sends the pic to Kla and waits for an update.
