Dangerous Love

Chapter 29

Doctor comes to the Li Mansion and checks Tanet. Everyone is waiting anxiously outside his room. Soon the doctor comes out.

Ming: Doctot, how is Tanet?

Doctor: Well, physically he is okay, just a bit exhausted. But I am concerned about his mental health. He has woken up but did not say a single word till now. His eyes are devoid of all emotions and he is just staring at a single point, at the door. It feels like he is waiting for someone.

Ming explains to the doctor about his son being in an accident and is missing.   He also tells him about the relationship between Tanet and Veera.

Doctor: Hmm. He is in a shock after hearing about your son. His heart is unable to accept the reality. He need to show some emotion to get him back to normal.

Kla: Doctor, please tell us what should we do?

Doctot: Try to get him to accept the fact the Veera is missing. If he cries for some time, his mind will become clear.

Kla: Okay

Doctor: Also make sure he eats properly. He is a bit malnourished.

Kla and Daw nods their head.

Soon the doctor leaves and everyone stands outside Tanet's room unable to decide who should approach him.

Ming: Kla, Daw, I cannot see him like this. My son entrusted his love in our hands. We need to return Tanet in good shape to Veera when he comes back. So do whatever it takes to bring him out of this state.

Everyone nods their head. Kla asks Daw and Rune to go inside as they are his best friends. They enter the room to find Tanet sitting on the bed staring at Veera's picture on the wall. Occasionally he is glancing at the door as if expecting someone. Rune and Daw go and sit beside him.

Daw: Tanet

No response.

Daw: Tanet, it's me, your friend Daw. Rune is also here.

No response.

Rune: Please look at us Tanet.

Still no response. Tears form in their eyes on seeing their friend's condition. But they quickly wipes the tears and looks at Tanet with determination.

Daw: Tanet, Veera..

A tear drops from Tanet's eyes on hearing Veera's name but he does not say anything.

Daw: Veera is missing Tanet. Why don't you cry or say something.

Still no response.

Rune: Tanet, did you hear what Daw said. Your Vee is missing.

Still no response.

Rune holds Tanet's shoulder and shakes him hard and shouts.

Rune: TANET, VEERA IS NOT COMING. HE IS MISSING. HE...IS...MISSING. DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING. YOUR VEE FELL IN THE SEA AND HE IS MISSING.

Tanet: NO

Rune looks at Tanet who is looking at him with eyes full of tears and anger. He takes the vase next to his bed and throws it at the wall. He starts to break things in the room and looks at Rune and Daw in anger.

Tanet:NO...NO..NO. HE IS NOT MISSING. HE WILL COME BACK TO ME. MY VEE WILL NEVER LEAVE ME ALONE. HE PROMISED. HE NEVER BREAKS HIS PROMISE.

Rune and Daw looks at Tanet in shock as they have never seen him in this state. He is so angry and frustrated.

Tanet: GET OUT.

Rune: Wha..What?

Tanet: Get out of my room. I don't want to see anyone.

Daw: But..

Tanet: Get out, get out, get..out.

Rune and Daw quickly walks out of the room and Tanet closes the door behind their back. Kla was waiting for them outside the room.

Kla: What happened?

Daw tells him everything that happened in the room.

Kla: Hmm. It's okay. I am glad he showed some reaction. I think he will be okay. We will give him some space to deal with his sorrow.

Rune and Daw nods his head.

Rune: Kla, what about Veera? We need to find him. He cannot be de..

Kla: NO...He is alive. We will find him.

Daw keeps his hand on Kla's tensed body and he relaxes a bit.

Kla: I am in touch with some of our old friends in Singapore. They are already looking for him. I will be joining them tomorrow.

Daw: But..

Kla: You guys need to be here for Tanet.

Daw nods his head.

Kla: Rune, you are in charge of their security until I come back with Veera.

Rune nods his head. Kla heads to his room to pack his bag while Daw goes along with him to help with packing. Rune also goes to his room to rest and check on Sun.

Meanwhile inside Tanet's room:

Tanet is sitting on the floor holding Veera's photo close to his heart.

Tanet: You won't leave me again, right? I will not be able to live if you leave me again. You have to come back to me. We have so many things to do. We have all those pending dates that you promised to take me to. We have to visit so many places, we need to get married and have children who will gang up with me and fight against you. We have so much to do Vee.

Tanet sobs as he talks about their dreams.

Tanet: Please.... Please come back to me Vee. Your Tanet is waiting for you. He cannot live without you. I love you so much na.

Tanet cries his heart out as he still hopes for a miracle and Veera returning home safely.
