Dangerous Love

Chapter 39

Singapore:

A guy is standing on the balcony and looking at the large buildings looming before him. Today is the day when he will lose the most important person in his life, his first love Vee. He fell in love with Veera since the moment he understood the true meaning of love. Veera was always the one for him. But today everything comes to an end the moment he says I do to Tu.

Tanet looks at the clock and a sigh escapes his mouth. The wedding would be over by now.

Tanet: Today I have lost you forever Veera but you will always be in my heart, forever.

A tear drops from his eyes as he stares at his and Veera's photo on the table. He quickly walks away from there and opens a bottle of whiskey and pours a shot in the glass. He continues drinking till the daylight disappears and darkness cover the room.

Tanet looks at almost empty bottle and smiles.

Tanet: Why do I still feel the pain after drinking so much? Why can't I forget you even after drowning myself in alcohol? Why do I still love you so much Veera?

Tanet slowly walks towards the balcony with his wobbly legs. He looks down from the balcony and a smile appears on his face.

Tanet: The ground looks so fascinating from here. It feels like all my sorrows will come to an if I embrace you. Should I just take this free fall and embrace you my love?

He is about to climb the railings when his phone starts ringing.  He tries to disconnect the call but accidentally picks it up.

"Hello Tanet"

Tanet: Hey Daw. Why are you calling me? Aren't you supposed to be at the wedding?

Daw: Tanet, are you drunk? And why are standing on the railings?

Tanet: Oh! I was just admiring the ground. It's so fascinating that I am thinking of embracing it.

Daw: Tanet, don't do anything stupid.

Tanet: I am not stupid. I... I am trying to stand on the railings and have a free fall. It's so exciting.

Daw: TANET

Hearing Daw's voice, Rune and the others come running.

Rune: What happened? Why are you shouting?

Daw: He..He

Daw is literally in tears. He passed the phone to Rune. Rune is shocked to see Tanet standing on the railing with a bottle in his hands.

Rune: Tanet

Tanet: Rune, my friend.

Rune: Please get down from there Tanet. We can solve everything by talking.

Tanet: Huh. There is nothing to be solved. Everything is over, my life is over today. It's paining so much Rune that I cannot breath. I tried...I tried to drown myself in alcohol but the pain does not go away. I want to forget everything,  I want to sleep Rune. I want to let go.

Rune: Tanet, no. This is not a solution to any of your problems. You haven't lost anything Tanet. Veera..

Before Rune completes his sentence, the call gets disconnected. He tries calling the number but the phone is switched off.  They tried calling their manager in Singapore but he has no information about Tanet's whereabouts. They tried calling some of their contacts in Singapore to trace Tanet's call but it was taking a long time. Everyone sat there tensed unable to get any update on Tanet.

Daw: Kla

Kla: Hmm

Daw: Will he be okay?

Kla: Yes, he will be alright. Nothing will happen to him.

Daw: We shouldn't have send him alone. We should have gone with him. We...

Kla hugs Daw as he sobs like a kid in his arms. Rune is also in a bad condition. Sun tried to console him but he is so angry and hurt.

Suddenly Rune's phone starts ringing. He quickly picks the call.

Rune: Hello. Did you get the address?

Unknown: Yes

They gave Tanet's address to Rune over the phone. They also informed Rune that no accidents have been reported at that address till now. Rune let's out a sigh of relief. He thanks the caller and disconnects the call.

Daw: Rune

Rune: We got the address. They said he seem to be okay when they contacted him but he asked them to leave him alone.

Daw: He is safe for now but I don't trust his state of mind. I want to be there for him. Kla...

Rune: It's going to take us some time to reach him. Let me send this address to someone who can reach him before us.

Daw nods his head as Rune sends Tanet's address to someone.
