Dangerous Love

Chapter 5

In the bedroom:

Tanet and Daw was moved to one of the bedrooms in the house and a security was placed at the entrance. Tanet sat on his bed lost in thoughts. He looked at Daw who is standing on the balcony looking dejected. Tanet knew that he is the reason why Kla will not accept Daw's love. Daw had fallen in love with Kla on the first day of college. He always followed him around like a puppy and Kla finally could not resist his puppy eyes. They started dating long before he approached Veera. But when things went wrong between them, Kla left college with Veera and did not speak to Daw after that. Daw tried to contact him multiple times but he blocked him completely.. Daw tried to forget him and he was successful to some extend . But yesterday when Kla came to kidnap me from my house. Daw tried to protect me and he was also brought with me. All his old feeling came alive on seeing Kla.

Tanet: Daw

Daw: Hmm

Tanet: I am sorry.

Daw: For  what? You didn't do anything wrong.

Tanet: It's my fault that he is angry with you.

Daw: No it's not. Just like he stood by his friend, I stood by mine.

Tanet: But

Daw: Tanet, neither he nor Veera knows the complete truth. It's true that you approached Veera on Rune's instructions but you had your own reasons for doing that. So stop blaming yourself.

Tanet: But because of me, your old wounds reopened.

Daw: It never healed Tanet. I just pretended that I am fine.

Tanet: Daw

Daw: He is my first love Tanet. I always dreamed of spending my life with him. You know I am an orphan. You and Rune became my family. But when I met Kla, I felt like I have someone who I can call as mine.  But...

A tear drops from Daw's eyes. Tanet hugs him tight and murmurs apologies.
As he cried in the arms of his bestfriend,  someone stood outside hearing their entire conversation.

"Kla"

Kla's POV:

Kla was standing in the balcony looking at the sea when one of the guards approached him saying that the prisoners have been moved upstairs. He decided to go and check on them once before dinner. As he approached their room, he heard them talking.

Daw: Tanet, neither he nor Veera knows the complete truth. It's true that you approached Veera on Rune's instructions but you had your own reasons for doing that. So stop blaming yourself.

Tanet: But because of me, your old wounds reopened.

Kla felt a pain in his heart as he heard Daw crying. Did he really judge him too soon? Is there something that they don't know? These questions filled Kla's mind. He was lost in his thoughts that he did not realize when he zoned out until the guard call his name. He came out of his trance and quickly entered the room after knocking.

Kla looks at Tanet awkwardly. Daw was standing there facing away from him.

Kla: I just came to call you for dinner.

Tanet: Hmm

Kla walks out of the room without saying anything else.

Tanet: Daw

Daw: Hmm

Tanet: Let's eat something.

Daw: I don't want anything.

Tanet: Starving yourself will not solve any problem. Let's find a solution after dinner.

Daw reluctantly agrees and walks out of the room with Tanet. They have their dinner quietly. Tanet saw that Daw and Kla were stealing glances at each other.

Tanet(in mind): So he still has feelings for Daw. I need to find a way to get them together. I cannot let my mistakes ruin their relationship. Should I talk to Veera? Will he help me? He decided to keep his pride aside and talk to Veera for Daw's sake.

After dinner, Daw went to their room while Tanet loitered in the living room in the hope that Veera would come back to the house tonight. After an hour of waiting, he heard the sound of a boat and then the sound died. Few minutes later, he saw a shadow approaching the house and then the person's face became clear. It is Veera.

Veera's eyes hardened on seeing Tanet in the living room.

Veera: What are you doing here? Where is Kla? KLA..

Tanet: No need to shout. Kla is in his room. I insisted on being here. So he left some guards to look after me and then went to his room.

Veera: What do you want?

Tanet: I want to talk to you.

Veera: Why? Do you want a new master baby?

Tanet could feel the sarcasm and hatred in his words.

Tanet: I am here to talk about Kla.

Veera: What about Kla?

Tanet: You know Kla and Daw used to date each other but when we ..

Veera: I know.  It's an old story. They have already moved on.

Tanet: No, they haven't.

Veera: What do you mean?

Tanet told Veera everything that happened between Kla and Daw that day. Veera's face showed surprise and pain on hearing their story.

Veera: Why didn't he just tell me?

Tanet: Becauss he loves you the most and does not want anything that reminds you of your past near you.

Veera: Hmm

Veera stood there in silence for some time.

Tanet:  I need your help to bring then back together.

Veera: I will help you but on one condition.

Veera looks at Tanet with a smirk on his face.
