Dangerous Love

Chapter 36

Kla leaves the club around 12am along with Rune and PSun. As soon as they enter the Li Mansion gate, they are surprised to see a car parked in the parking lot.

Kla: Shit, isn't that Veera's car?

Rune: Yes

Kla: Did he bring Tanet to the mansion?

They quickly park the car and enter the house. Veera is sitting in the hall along with Tu and Ming.

Veera: You guys have come.

Kla: Where is Tanet?

Veera: I dropped him at his condo. He was in deep sleep when I left.

Kla: Oh!

Veera: I was actually waiting for you guys to share a good news.

Kla, Rune and Sun look at Veera curiously.

Veera: I am getting married to Tu this Sunday.

Kla,Rune and Sun: WHAT?

Veera; Why are you guys so shocked? We are engaged for 6 months now. So I thought it's the right time to get married. Kla, you said you guys are leaving for Singapore in 10 days. So I decided to get married before that.

Kla, Sun and Rune look at each other in shock.

Veera: Why aren't you guys congratulating us?

Kla: Congrats Veera, Tu

Veera: Thank you.

Tu just looks at them and nods her head.

Rune: Congratulations Veera. We are happy for you. I think we need to go to bed now. We will talk about this tomorrow.

Everyone agrees to Rune's suggestion and goes to their room to test.

Later when everyone are asleep, Kla goes to Rune and Sun's room along with Daw.

Rune: Your plan didn't work Kla.

Kla: I know. What shall we do? They are getting married in 5 days.

Daw: I don't know. We need to inform Tanet.

Kla: No use telling him now. He is dead drunk.

Rune: Hmm. Let's try talking to Tanet tomorrow morning. He is the only one who can stop this wedding.

Everyone agrees to this.

Next day morning:

Kla, Daw, Rune and Sun leaves the mansion early morning to meet Tanet at his condo.

At Tanet's condo:

Daw tried ringing the doorbell multiple times but no one answered the door. They were about to give up when they heard a shuffling sound from inside and then door unlocked with a click sound. Tanet is standing before them in a disheveled state.

Daw: Tanet

Tanet yawns and rubs his eyes before opening them completely. He is shocked to see his friends at his doorstep so early in the morning.

Tanet: Guys, what are you doing here so early?

Daw: Let's talk inside.

They push Tanet aside and barges into the house. They all sit on the couch and look at Tanet with an unreadable expression.

Tanet: Why are you guys looking at me like that? You are scaring me.

Daw: What happened between you and Veera yesterday night?

Tanet: Yesterday night? When did I meet Veeta?

Kla: Shit. You don't remember Veera bringing you home?

Tanet shakes his head in No.

Rune: Then why did he suddenly decide to get married?

Tanet: He..He is getting married?

Tanet drops on the floor in shock.

Daw: TANET

Daw and Rune runs towards him and hugs him as tears flow down his eyes.

Rune: Tanet, please don't cry. You can stop this wedding. You just need to tell the truth.

Tanet: No

Daw: You will lose him forever if this wedding takes place.

Tanet: I already lost him. He no longer loves me Daw.

Daw: That's because he does not remember you.

Tanet: Yes. He has forgotten me. He has found new love in Tu. How can I come in between them?

Kla: Tanet

Tanet: It's my fate guys. He never belonged to me. I lost him every time I thought I gained him. We are not meant to be.

Everyone looks at Tanet with tears in their eyes. They didn't know what to do to bring their friends together.

As they are lost in thoughts,  the doorbell rings. Daw gets up and goes to open the door. As the door opens, everyone is surprised to see Veera outside.

Daw: Veera

Veera: What are you guys doing in Tanet's house so early in the morning?

Rune: We were concerned for him because he was so drunk yesterday.

Daw: We came to check on him.

Veera: Aah, okay.

Kla: What are you doing here?

Veera: I came to check on him too. But why does he look like he was crying.

Tanet looks at Veera with a forced smile.

Tanet: It's nothing. It's just a bad hangover. I will be fine after taking a bath.

Veera: Hmm.

Tanet: Kla, why don't you order breakfast for all of us while I freshen up.

Kla nods his head. Tanet walks towards the bathroom to freshen up. 

Soon Tanet takes bath and comes to the living area. The food also arrives shortly. Everyone eats their breakfast in silence until Veera decides to speak.

Veera: Tanet

Tanet: Hmm

Veera: I want to tell you something important.

Tanet nods his head.

Veera: I am.getting married.

Daw holds Tanet's hand as he struggle to manage his emotions. He put on a fake smile and looks at Veera.

Tanet: Congratulations. I wish you a happy married life.

Veera: I have kept the ceremony this Sunday so that you can attend it before going to Singapore. You should definitely come.

Tanet: Hmm

Daw slowly rubs his thumb on Tanet's knuckles trying to calm him down. None of them speak a single word during the rest of the breakfast. After breakfast everyone except Daw says goodbye and leave Tanet's apartment. As soon as everyone exits the door and the door closes, Tanet hugs Daw and cries his heart out.

Tanet: I have lost him Daw. I have lost my Veera forever.

Tears fall from his eyes continuously as his heart break into pieces thinking of his lost love.
