Dangerous Love

Chapter 20

Veera and his friends reach Li Mansion without any further events. Veera takes Tanet to his bedroom and asks him to take rest while he met his father.

In the conference room:

Ming Li: There is a mole in our gang.

Chai Li: I agree with PMing on this. We discussed Veera and Kla leaving the mansion for work but never disclosed the place. Looks like someone is keeping an eye on us.

Veera: Hmm. I agree with you uncle. We need to find him before one of us gets seriously injured.

Rune suddenly signals everyone to stop talking. He then brings out a small device from his pocket and moves it around the room. A red light blinks as the device comes near the pen stand on the table. Rune searches in the stand and recovers a microphone. Everyone looks at him in shock. He scribbles something in the paper and passes it around.

Veera: Dad, I don't think our enemies are that powerful. They are always attacking from behind like cowards.

Kla looks at Veera and shows an evil smile.

Veera: I challenge them to come to the party we are hosting on Sunday to celebrate Tanet and PSun's recovery. Kla, send out invitations to all our business associates and rivals.

Kla: Yes Boss.

Meanwhile, their actual conversation was happening on a piece of paper.

Ming(writing) Li: Shit, they are tapping our conversation.

Rune(writing): Yes. Who has access to this room Uncle?

Ming(writing): Us and the cleaning staff.

Rune(writing): Hmm. We need to do a background check on the cleaning staff.

Ming(writing): Hmm

Rune(writing): Veera, just say some nonsense to provoke the guys on the other end.

Veera: Dad, I don't think our enemies are that powerful. They are always attacking from behind like cowards.

Everyone smiles on hearing Veera's comment.

Rune(writing): Good. Please continue.

Veera: I challenge them to come to the party we are hosting on Sunday to celebrate Tanet and PSun's recovery. Kla send out invitations to all our business associates and rivals.

Rune(writing): They are going to come for us.

Veera (writung): This time, we will be ready for them.

Rune(writing): I will check for other recording devices and microphones.

Veera: Let's end this meeting here.

They move to a different room while Rune sweeps the conference room .

Office Room:

Rune sweeps the room once before they start the conversation. This room is clean.

Veera: Dad, we need to find the mole.

Ming: Hmm

Veera: Regarding the party, I need our most trusted people to work with Kla on a plan to overthrow our enemy.

Ming: Kla, you know everyone here. Take the ones who you trust and work out a plan.

Kla: Yes Master.

Kla goes out of the room while the others sit back and discuss some pending business issues. After the discussion, everyone except Veera leaves the room.

Ming: Son, you look tensed.

Veera: I am worried for Tanet.

Ming: We will have our best men to guard him.

Veera: Dadi,  what if I am the reason why he is in danger?

Ming: Veera you need to stop thinking like that. He fell in love after knowing who you are and what you do. So stop blaming yourself.

Veera: I can't relax until I catch the guy who is causing all these trouble.

Ming: Hmm. Did you get any info from the guy who you caught at the safe house?

Veera: No. He is really a tough nut to crack. We have tortured him so much but he does not say a single word. He is tight lipped.

Ming: Then find his weakness so that he will breakdown.

Veera: Hmm. I will do my best dad.

Ming: hmm. You take care of Tanet and don't do anything stupid.

Veera; Okay. I will take your leave dad.

Ming: Okay.

Veera leaves the room and heads towards his bedroom. As he enters the room, he see Tanet standing there wearing his shirt and a small shorts. His hair is wet as he just came out of the bathroom. Veera gulps nervously as Tanet looks at him with a smile.

Veera: Shit

Tanet: Vee

Veera quickly takes his towel and rushes into the bathroom and closes the  door behind him. Tanet just stands there stunned by Veera's action.

Inside the bathroom:

Veera: SHIT.SHIT...SHIT. Veera control yourself. He just recovered from a serious injury. Don't scare him with your eagerness. You waited for all these years. Just wait for few more days.

Meanwhile Tanet is lying on the bed brooding over Veera's action.
