Leila's pov -

Everyone stood there frozen and silent. No one dared to move or speak one word. One thing was for sure though.

Damien was angry.

Very angry.

His hands slowly fell from my waist  and he looked at Amaris. "Amaris, take her to her room" he said boldly in anger and Amaris rushed to me and grabbed my hand but I get out her grip.

"N-no! D-dami..!" I said with tears falling from my eyes. Oh no! He's mad at me!

He's going to leave you now!

You always mess things up!!

Can't you be perfect for once!!! You're mom was right!

I let out a uncontrollable sob and shake my head. Sin doesn't understand.

"That's right cry! It's what you do best! You always find a way to disappoint us! Wait till we get home." My mother said in anger and game directly at me but the guards didn't let her get even one step closer.

Damien's fists clenched and his hands automatically reached again towards his waist belt but he paused and looked at me.

"Take her away. NOW!" he said coldly and stared into my eyes. I flinched when he yelled. But I shake my head and wrapped my arms around his waist and held tight.

"N-No!" I yell and clench into his cloth. He's mad. I hate it. "I-I'll go ho-home! J-just d-don't—" I couldn't even talk. I burst into cries. I don't even know what I was going to say. 'Don't kill my family?' I want to say it but...it's holding me back. Murder was never my intentions.

I still don't know why mama lied to me.

Why am I seeing everything different now. Am I rebelling!??

He leaned down and was going to whisper something to me but gunshots were fired making me jump in his hold. I leaned in his embrace and held my palms over my ears.

Damien held my waist very tight and he's yelling or commanding but..but I can't hear anything. I'm in pure shock and panic.

Memories from the event back flashed my brain. I closed my eyes tighter. Is someone trying to kill me again?

"..EILA!...LEILA?" I hear a voice say and slowly I came to my senses and opened my eyes. Damien was holding me— no hiding me in his embrace.

"Go with Amaris. Take her!" He yelled and she grabbed my hand and I tried to hold Damien again but my body was so numb to even move.

She takes a tight hold of me and made me run. I look back  and see Damien on the phone and walking out the mansion. The guards are running with my family while their in tight cuffs.

They looked scared. Drop dead scared.

Xander came in quickly and ran to Damien and yelled. "RENZOS HERE! WE NEED TO GET THE ARMY TOGETHER!" He yelled. Who's renzo?

Amaris stepped into the elevator and the doors closed. I didn't even realized my entire body was leaned against Amaris as she held me.

I looked up at her. "W-what— what happened..?" I said in a shaky broken voice and she didn't respond.
