while I was putting my notebooks away, ju-kyung suddenly came in the classroom.

"oh? jukyung-ah, where were you?" I asked, as she sighed.

"aish I just want to go home.." she whined.

"wae? what happened?" soo-ah asked.

she kept on whining like a baby, as I looked at soo-ah and soo-jin.

my phone suddenly rang, as I pulled it out to see my mom calling me.

I went outside the classroom, as I answer the call.

"eomma" 

"y/n-ah! how's the performance?" she asked, as I smiled.

"it was great, I think the others enjoyed it" I said, looking at my friends inside the classroom.

"that's good to hear" she said.

"I'll be visiting an old friend of mine at the hospital, so I'll be home late" she stated.

"hm why don't I come? I don't have anything important to do" I said.

"are you sure?" she asked.

"yeah, I'll end up being bored at home so" I said.

"okay, I guess she wouldn't mind if you come, just text me when you arrive" she said.

"alright" I said, as she hang up.

the school bell rang, as I grabbed my bag and threw it to my back.

"y/n-ah, are you free? we'll go shopping" soo-ah asked.

"maybe next time? I have to go somewhere" I said.

"alright! then we'll see you tomorrow" she shouted, as I waved at them.

(time skip) — at the hospital

I looked around trying to spot mom in the lobby.

man I hate seeing the hospital

I mean who doesn't

"y/n!" my mom shouted at the lobby.

"oh eomma" I said, as I approached her.

"have you eaten?" she asked, as I nodded.

"I bought tteokbokki on my way here. I bought some for your friend as well" I said, as I showed her the paperbag I was bringing.

"that's very thoughtful of you y/n" she said, as I smiled.

"I got it from you eomma" I said, as I put my arm around her shoulder.

we walked to the reception area and asked the room number of my mom's friend.

"she's in room 418" the nurse said, as my mom nodded.
