Chapter 36: The new mother

Amara, Tabby, Luna, and Pansy were sitting in Lily's living room in La Push, discussing the plan to take down Bella.

"So how do we get her to come to us?" Lily asked.

Tabby snorted. "There is no you in this plan preggers. Sit down and put your feet up. You are already looking huge. Haven't you had Carlisle look at you yet? Gotta make sure you are not having a litter."

Lily couldn't help but laugh. She knew she looked big already but shifter babies, what can you do?

Amara spoke up. "We are going to have to use Cedric as bait. We can pre-make the incantation circle. If he has his wand on him, he should be able to walk out of it on his own."

"Sounds like a plan. Amara, it's time to go see him." Tabby said.

Amara stood up and hugged Lily goodbye.

Edward was pacing the house. He didn't want to make things awkward for Renesmee, but he also didn't want to lose Amara.

"Dad, calm down. Why are you so nervous?" Renesmee asked.

He smiled at her. "I don't want you to feel like I'm replacing your mom. I don't want you to feel uncomfortable. I am your father first and foremost."

Renesmee couldn't help but cry. "You are a great father. I only want you to be happy. I have never felt a mother's love from Bella. This may be my chance to have a mother."

Edward and Renesmee fell into each other's arms. Hugging each other like it was the last time they would. They were interrupted by a woman's voice.

"I would be honored to be that for you, little love." Amara smiled to them.

Edward looked at her with love in his eyes. His inner voice yelling out 'MATE'.

"Amara," He whispered out.

"Ced. It has been a while. I have missed you so much."

She walked towards him with a shy smile.

"I'm so sorry, Amara." Edward said.

"Why?"

"I married someone else." He looked disappointed in himself.

She smiled. He couldn't believe it!

"I wouldn't change anything. You marrying Bella gave us Renesmee. This was meant to happen. She is what makes our family complete."

Amara smiled to Renesmee with her arms out for a hug, which Renesmee quickly accepts.

"I have always wanted this. A real mom and dad. To feel wanted by both parents. I am so happy." Nessie cried.

"You will always have that, from here on out." Amara kissed her head.
