My heels clicked on the concrete floor as I looked around at our surroundings. If I had known we would be taking a stroll, I would have taken my sneakers with me. I mean, the view of the boats is magnificent and peaceful, but these heels are killing me, and I'm trying my best not to let him notice I was aching badly.

"We're almost there." Nick kneaded my fingers softly and broke the silence between us. I could almost let my feet rest in a wonderful restaurant, for which I was quite thankful. I can admire beautiful yachts, but I would never go to this region because of the wealthy residents and the astronomically priced shops and restaurants.

"Okay," I answered shortly, sending him a spontaneous smile.

"Are you okay?" Nick asked curiously. "Yes, I'm fine," I replied, trying to hide my discomfort. "I'm just excited to see what this place has to offer."

"Yes, of course." I lied.

"Are your feet hurting? I'm sorry, I forgot it was a longer walk than I had expected." He explained. I waved off his concern, assuring him that I was fine and that the walk was actually quite enjoyable. As we continued exploring the area, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected adventure. sorrowful. Yes, my feet are killing me, but I will remain composed. How far is he going to take me??? I thought to myself, trying to maintain a pleasant expression. I didn't want to ruin the evening by complaining about my discomfort.

"I'm fine, truly." I lied again, trying to not make it a big deal. I can manage... "How far is the restaurant?" I continued, trying to act casual.

"You're lying, Mill's." He stated. Before I knew what he was planning to do, he had scooped me off of my feet and right into his arms.

"Nick, what are you doing? Put me down right now!" I snapped at him, our faces close. God, luckily nobody saw this.

"No, I'm not planning to let you down until we're there." He stated it mischievously with a sly smile on his face. I squirmed in his arms, feeling a mix of embarrassment and amusement. "You're impossible," I muttered, secretly enjoying the closeness despite my protests.

"Nick, please. I can walk!" I whined, as I knew he wasn't going to let me go that easily. His firm grip said enough. I could feel my heart racing as he carried me effortlessly, his touch sending shivers down my spine. Despite my protests, I couldn't deny the thrill of being in his arms.

"We're almost there. Do you see the big white yacht on the left?" He informed me.

"Witch one? They are all enormous." I answered while looking to the left.

"Wait, are we dining on a yacht?" I asked in disbelief as it dawned on me.

"Yes, do you like it?" He asked, showing off his white, perfect teeth. "Yes, I love it," I replied, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness at the thought of dining on a yacht. The luxurious setting was beyond anything I had ever experienced before.

"Oh god, yes!" I assured him with enthusiasm. Nick smirked at me as he walked casually with me in his arms like he wasn't wearing anyone in his arms.

The lady Michelle came into view, along with a massive yacht and staff waiting for us at the entrance of the boat. A giggle leaves my throat as Nick leads me down, kissing my cheek playfully. Luckily, he led me down before the staff could see us, as I wouldn't appreciate him carrying me directly to the boat for them to see. What would they think? They would probably think we were just married. Nick's playful demeanour put me at ease, making me grateful for his light-heartedness at that moment. I couldn't help but wonder what other assumptions the staff might make about us as we boarded the yacht.

"Good evening, Mr. Donovan. Welcome to Lady Michelle. Ginny is going to show you the boat, and then we can take off." The captain of the boat greeted us well.
