~Gabriel~

I watched her as she paced the room, her mass of black hair streaming behind her, her black dress billowing in the non existent wind. I felt a need to protect her as frown lines formed on her once peaceful face. Whatever is bothering her must be of great importance if it shows on her usually tranquil and calm face. Her pacing became quicker as she seemed to latch onto a stream of thought and carry with it unlike her constant flicking back and forth she had been doing before. All of a sudden she came to a stop her eyes glowing with some unseen memory.

I watched from my post as her eyes cleared and recognition flowed into her features. Then her voice rang out clear as day;

“There comes a time,

When two step forth to take their place

One of black and one of white

Both must guide;

One to dark and one to light

And in suffering and joy,

They will decide

The fate of our kind

Of mind great and spirit of fire

White will beckon,

Of true passion and lustrous desire

Black will call

Till united or destroyed

Stands one or two,

The highest of all

Fulfilling power to the core

As standing above all

Brings new dawn

Or finds us, our world torn

With dagger harsh

And blood runs red”

The words stop flowing from her lips and she sunk to the ground. I ran to her faster than anyone possibly could, but it was too late – Shiriah was dead.
