3 words can change everything

It's amazing how just those three words really can change everything - for better of for worse. Again, it's complicated.

Those words that I spoke,

Those 3 little words,

Are my biggest regret,

Saying to you,

I shouldn't regret saying them,

But they weren't true,

It's not fair to you,

I've never heard your true voice,

But I feel something's missing without it,

Without you,

You said those 3 words to me,

And I could tell how much you meant them,

I had to answer back,

I shouldn't have though,

Now you're pining for me I can see it,

Because I've gone,

But you won't accept that,

That I never meant it,

I'm sorry for that,

That is the truth,

You still want me though,

Want me back,

Even though you never really had me,

And that I was never really yours,

I sometimes wish I was though,

Because I'm happy with you,

Speaking to you,

Having you in my life,

But I can't on something based on a lie,

Those words that I spoke,

Those 3 little words,

Hurt you,

Broke you,

Because it wasn't true.
