I can't wait forever

To a lot of people they won't read this the way I wrote it, if that makes sense. The main thing behind this one, is that when I wrote it,  I was going through a tough time. I needed my best friend there, just to talk to, to turn to, but although people promise they will be there, they never are....

When I don't need you,

When I don't want you,

You always seem to be here,

But when I need you,

Need you here by my side,

You're never here,

Instead you'll just disappear,

But I'm breaking up inside,

Breaking down outside,

I no longer can sit here and wait,

For things to get better, 

Because I know they never will,

All the promises,

Were just lies.

Time and time again,

You say it will all be ok,

That you're there for me,

Whenever I need you here,

But you never meant that, did you?

And even if you did,

Your promises were just broken.

I waited here for you,

Wanting you here by my side,

But instead you never came,

Left me to battle away,

Alone on my own,

Not knowing what to do,
