There you go again

Wondering how many more lies you can bring yourself to say.

There you go again,

Lying to yourself,

Lying to me,

Tell it to my face,

Say it to my face,

Look me in the eye,

And say,

That I meant nothing,

I was never anything to you,

That we weren't real,

You won't because you can't,

And even if you could,

I know you're lying,

I can see it in your eyes,

All I did was give you everything,

I made you better,

Helped you,

When I should have been helping myself too,

You never notice how I was slipping back,

Back to my old self,

It was always about you

It didn't have to be,

But to me it wasn't true,

Everyone else could see how real we were,

But looking back now,

I don't think I was as happy as I thought,

Of course there are some memories I' never forget,

But we used to always laugh,

I used to always smile,

But that slowly faded,

Without realising,

I'm now myself,

Without you,

Together we were us,

Not me and you,

Not you and I,

We were us,

One single word that stands alone,

But without you I'm me, 

The me I haven't been for a while,

And people actually missed my old self,

So I'm that girl again,

The girl you once knew,

And it's staying that way,

I don't want you back in my life really,

But I can't not let you,

You were everything for a while,

But not anymore,

And my new old self won't fall for you again,

But I won't forget,

So go on tell it to my face,

Say it to my face,

Look me in the eye,

And say,

That I meant nothing,

And the true reason you won't,

Is because it's all a lie,

Stop lying,

And tell the truth for once.
