Meredith

I've spent a few days living with Eliot, Chase and Emily now and it's been great. I haven't heard a single word from Jack that leads me to believe that the beating he received from Eliot has taught him a lesson. I admit that I feel a little guilty that he was beaten up because I still remember the old Jack. The one that existed when my parents were alive. As a child, Jack was always around. He would play with me in the garden and read me stories. He was the one my parents called to take care of me when they had a night out, they trusted him with me and I trusted him. When my parents died, he kept me sane. He was my shoulder to cry on and the company at night when I couldn't sleep.

But it all changed. He's not that Jack anymore. So in another way, I'm glad he got what he deserved.

Today I have decided to start researching into baby things that I'll need to get. I'm only nearly 17 weeks pregnant but I feel so unprepared. I've never had a baby before, I don't have a clue what to do or what I'll need. Emily has very kindly let me use her laptop to look at baby websites and stores. I'm in the living room making a list of possible things I'll need when Eliot walks in.

"You ready?" He asks as soon as I look up at him.

I furrow my brows in confusion. He's dressed in a dark pair of jeans and a tight navy shirt, showing off his muscles. I bite my lip. He's sexy. I blame my hormones at the thoughts that begin to run through my head. It's obvious he works out, he has a body to die for. Oh, how I would love to rip that shirt off and run my tongue u-

"Meredith?" I blink in a slight daze.

"Huh?" I mumble.

I make eye contact with him and a smirk appears on his lips.

"Like what you see?" I blush.

"No! Yes-I mean-I wasn't.. shut up."

Eliot chuckles deeply as I glare at the wink he sends my way. With a huff, I go back to scrolling through the current baby website I was on before he interrupted me. I see him move from the corner of my eye and then the sofa dips down as he sits beside me.

"Go away."

"Don't be mad. I don't mind you looking Meri." His husky voice whispers in my ear. I shiver.

"M-Meri?"

"Hmm." I feel his teeth graze against my jaw and I suck in a sharp breath.

"No one has ever called me that before." I murmur trying to keep my voice steady.

The heat from my flushed cheeks seems to spread through my whole body. The closeness of his body to mine is mind numbing. The laptop nearly falls off my lap when his lips press lightly to my skin.

"Good." Eliot breathes and then he's standing up over me smiling like normal.

I look up in stunned silence. He grins knowingly and holds out a hand to me.

"Come on, we're going out."

"We are?" I close the laptop and put it to one side.

"Yes. I have a surprise for you." I take his outstretched hand as he pulls me to my feet.

"You do?"
