Your POV
I was laying on the couch opposite of Niall who was busy doing god knows what, as long as he didn't interrupt me while I finished up paper work. He was quiet, not saying anything or being loud and that was a weird thing because he was always laughing while scrolling through Instagram on his phone.
"Niall?" I called.
No response.
"Niall!" I called a little louder.
Again, no response.
"Niall James Horan!" I practically yelled, moving my papers aside to not wrinkle them.
I was now looking at my boyfriend who was too busy playing with a fidget spinner. I hated those things, they were literally everywhere now, even the kids in the neighborhood sold them and had them.
Niall was busy balancing the demon toy on his thumb, still not looking up to meet my eyes after I called him three times.
"Hey, Niall?"
"Huh?" Niall looked up me and as soon as he did, the green fidget spinner fell of his hand. "Oh my fuck!" He groaned, picking it up from the ground. "Yes, babe?"
"I called you like three times and not once did you notice." I told him, crossing my arms.
"You did? Sorry, I was just into this fidget spinner that I bought from those kids next door." He laughed.
"I hate those things."
"What?" He said in disbelief.
"I don't see the point in them and they've gotten annoying."
"You're just mad because you could never master any tricks like I can." Niall said while attempting to put the fidget spinner on his forehead.
"You're crazy." I smiled at my boyfriend who's mind was in full concentration of the kid toy balancing on his head.
I went back to my paper work and the quietness was back again in the room, but I spoke to soon
"I think I'm going to buy a custom made one with the Irish flag on it."
A week later, he did.
