Your POV

I was walking through the crowded hallways of people alongside my friends, who were joking about god know what. I was in my own little world, minding my business and trying to get to lunch before it was filled with hungry young adolescents.

"I heard they're having a bit of a argument and aren't on speaking to each other right now." Louis said, catching my attention at the gossip he was spilling out.

"Who?"

"Do you really want to know. I mean, they kind of deserve it, especially him, but if you're okay with us mentioning it. Then-"

"Louis, you're rambling again, and yes, I'm okay with you telling me this gossip you have going on." I chuckled.

"Okay, so, I heard that Niall and Erica are in like an argument or something, and they're not talking to each other. Relationship goals, am I right?"

"Definitely." I agree sarcastically, walking into the lunch room.

I walked into the line, still talking with the guys, not noticing who was in front of me.

"Like Kim Kardashian would say. Tragic." Liam said.

"That's what he get-" Louis cut himself off shirt.

Niall was in front of us, awkwardly waiting in line, trying his hardest to not look behind him. I didn't have the blushing red cheeks and the awkward silence that would have me running to the bathroom. I was fine, unbothered and worrying about myself. He had already made his choice and I am not going to stick around to be the second one.

"Niall, hey!" Liam waved, slowly pushing me aside. I knew what he was doing. He thought I was still in the process of getting over him. It was a nice gesture and I'm grateful to have such caring friends.

"Hi." Niall replied, looking at Liam and then facing the front of the line.

It was dead silent between them, but in the background, Louis, Harry and I were joking around with each other.

"I got detention after school for calling Ms.Briggs by her first name." Louis laughed.

"And that's something to be proud of because?" Harry questioned.

"It's not, but if you were there, it was pretty funny and time consuming, so class time felt short."

"I hope the detention is worth it, you child."

"It's funny how you think I am actually going to go." Louis playfully scoffed.

"You're on your last warning, according to what you said yesterday."

"They just say that to scare you and make you go."

"Whatever you say."

...

"I was talking to Niall while you guys were messing around, and I got some new information about the status."

"Liam!" Louis gasped.

"What?"

"You're becoming better at gathering tea than me."

"Thank you?" Liam raised his eyebrow. "Anyways, he seemed really bummed about the breakup, close to the point of tears. He looked like a sad puppy."

"Good for him. He is not my problem anymore, because if we were still friends, I would be comforting him over his stupid relationship, but I'm glad I'm not." I crossed my arms.
