A knee-length red dress paired with heeled boots, elegant jewelry adorned your neck, wrists and ears. You wanted to look extravagant for the welcoming of the new year.
You were finishing the last touches to your look before heading out with Niall to a New Year's Eve party being held by a close friend. As soon as you were done, you made your way downstairs to where Niall was waiting.
"Finally. I thought you'd never finish." He chuckled, getting up from the sofa and grabbing the keys.
"Oh hush. I didn't take that long, besides, it takes time to look this good." You joked.
"I hundred percent agree. Maybe, we should stay home and skip the party." Niall leaned in and gave you a sweet kiss on your neck, wrapping his arms around your waist, immediately making it obvious that he was in the mood.
"Come on, babe. We'll be late."
You untangled yourself from his embrace and walked out to the car because if you were there for a while longer, you'd cave in, as all the work you put into your look today was not going to be wasted and unseen.
"(Y/N)!" Niall groaned.
"I'll meet you in the car, babe." You laughed to yourself.
As soon as Niall got in the car, he had put on his sunglasses and started the car, not saying a word.
"Hey, Ni?"
Silence.
"Niall?" You tried again.
Only to be met with silence from your boyfriend who's only focus was the road in front of him.
You knew he was butt hurt over not getting his way, but plans were already set. The plans he had in mind were for another time.
"Aw, are you mad that you didn't get some?" You pinched his cheek.
"No."
"He speaks!"
"Niall, I promise you that when we get home you will get some. But today we have a party to attend and welcome a new year for new things." You reasoned. "And it'll be a way of starting the year."
Niall was thinking about it.
"What do you say?" You smiled.
"Fine. I'll also buy you a new dress after I rip this one off of you."
