"L-Lance" I stutered reaching out and rubbing his face. "What are you doing here?" I ask its been a few months since I last saw him and what shocks me the most is that he's here hours from where we lived. "I'm here for you Kaley" he says grabbing my hand gently but still keeping it on his face. "For me ?" I asked cocking my head sideways confused "What ?" I said the confusion evident in my face what could he possibly want from me maybe a kiss or a hug but something tells me that's not the case, he wants more.I want you.... To join the brotherhood" Lance says nonchalantly as if I would actually do that, I jerk my hand from his face starring at him in complete shock my mouth sits wide open while I sit and try to organize everything rushing through my brain, it all finally made since. He was the voice I heared in the catacombs, he was the one reaching out for me, and he was..... Avalanche. "What!" I yelled standing to my feet backing away from him slowly nearly loosing my balance in the process. "Come with us Kaley this way we can be together join us babe" he says grabbing my hand once again.

Is he crazy I why would I betray my friends, this school, and even my parents to join the Brotherhood ? I couldn't do that I loved Lance so much but no amount of love could make me turn to the dark side. "Well" he says giving me a small encouraging smile, "Lance I can't" I say swallowing and tucking some of my hair behind my ear. "You can't?" he ask anger in his voice, he quickly furrows his eyebrows causing that familiar vein in his forehead to poke out. "Too bad you don't have a choice " Lance yelled he grabbed my hands and starts dragging me across the floor behind as if I were a piece of trash. "Let go!!" I scream I phase from his grip. He then turns around smiling at me, not a nice comforting smile, but a rather a twisted mean one. "Oh you learned to use your powers I see" He says while leaning against a room door "Kaley I'm sick of trying to make things work between us we obviously want two different things in life" he say sighing "You wanna be good and I just wanna be bad" he says with a chuckle I roll my eyes "My dad was right" I scoff slowly shaking my head at him in disgust "You were nothing but trouble Lance" I say "Yet you still wanted me you knew that from that start Kaley don't act so surprised now, every good princess wants the bad boy" he says it's true I knew from the start he wasn't exactly the good guy on the block but I didn't want him because he was bad, it wanted him because I actually saw something in him that I wanted to uncover. "Nevertheless I see you've made your choice and now I've made mine" he then gives the door he leans on a knock, and it swings open and you wouldn't believe who walked out.Duchess. "Duchess ?'' I asked very confused she walks up to Lance and embraces him wrapping her hands around his waist she laughed loudly with her head tilted back in the air

"What's the matter Kaley you look like you seen a ghost " she says with an evil smirk on her face. "Wait what's going on? how could you betray us like that?'' I asked still confused, I now realized that Duchess has joined the Brotherhood and has been ratting out the security codes and secret entrances inside and out side the school. I could tell they knew I figured it out because the both began clapping. "See your not so dumb after all" Duchess replies "But you were only partially the reason I was here Hun " Lance says stepping away from Duchess. "We're here for the Cerebro" Lance says I've never even heard of that, it sounds like a part of the human brain. "The Cerebro?" I asked confused glancing at them both hoping one of them will answer my thought. "Oh GOD! Freshmen huh" Duchess says "The Cerebro is a machine that finds new mutants it's how Prof. Xavier found your Mother and Father and when we get ahold of that well take every vulnerable and gullible mutant in the world and recruit them in the BROTHERHOOD!" she yells the lights dim for a second and then flicker almost like dramatic effects from he speech. "Ok Boo so no that you know our plan this looks like the end for you" she says pulling a knife from her back pocket. She then tosses the knife in the air and catches it then throws it straight at me I close my eyes exhausted this is too much to take in and I need time to adjust I eventually accept the fact that the knife is about to hit me soon.
