Annika slowly opened her eyes, she was still under the effects of medicines, she was in an unknown stupor due to it and couldn't comprehend what had happened or what was happening. She felt an uneasy pain and felt that something in her body was missing, she felt light all of a sudden. She brought her hands towards her abdomen because she felt something unusual there and was shocked beyond measure to see her big tummy missing. She felt terrible she didn't know what to do, she felt like dying at that moment. She shouted "Shiv".

Shivaay who was outside the ward came running to annika. He saw her sitting on the bed and crying profusely holding her stomach tight. He became worried beyond a measure.

"What happened anni is it paining there? Wait ill call the doctor" he said panicking holding her close to himself, he was about to call the doctor when annika spoke,

"No shiv our baby is missing, I can't feel her, where's my baby I can't, I'm gonna die" she said with much difficulty still crying.

"Shh anni there's nothing like that stop crying" shivaay tried to console her "our baby is absolutely alright". But to know use she was still crying

It was then that shakti and pinky came in they had gone to the doctor with their grand daughter to speak to her. When they came back they saw shivaay missing and had rushed in. They were shocked to see annika crying hugging shivaay.

"What happened annu?" Shakti asked worried, annika didn't listen to anyone she was still crying saying "my baby." She was in an illusion due to the effects of the medicines.

"Anni shh stop crying our baby is absolutely fine, it's a little angel darling, look there" he stroked her head and slowly made her look at pinky who had their daughter in her hands.

It was then that annika came back to reality. She looked at shivaay with tears in her eyes, to which shivaay nodded his head with a smile and teary eyes, and kissed her forhead. Shakti too came forward and kissed her forehead saying "thankyou and congratulations annu" with tears in his eyes and a smile. Annika forwarded both her hands towards pinky earnestly with tears in her eyes and it was then that Pinky gave that little life on to annika after kissing annika's forhead uttering a "thank you".

Annika took hold of that cute little angel with so much care as if not to hurt her. She looked at that little life, she still couldn't believe she was finally here. She looked so small and cute. She looked exactly like her and that brought tears to annika's eyes. She herself was deprived of a mother's love since childhood and she herself becoming a mother now was something she couldn't believe, she thought she was dreaming. With watery eyes she kissed her baby's closed eyes, her little nose, her pink cheeks, her little ears, her pouted lips, her hair, her hands, her feet, her stomach, she kissed everything of that little life, even then she still couldn't believe she had finally become the mother of such a cute little girl. When she had learnt that she had conceived she still couldn't believe it for many months and now that the baby was here she still couldn't believe it either. She brought that cute life near her bossom and hugged her without hurting her. She pledged at that moment that she'd be the best mother and would provide her daughter the motherly love she had missed herself in her childhood, she pledged she'd never leave her little ones side, she was overwhelmed beyond measure and none could understand what she was going through not even her husband. She again started kissing her baby like from the beginning and all watching the scene had happy tears in their eyes. They knew what it meant for annika and Pinky very well knew the feeling of holding your child after that hard pain and tears were rolling down her eyes seeing that scene. Shivaay couldn't do anything than to adore that beautiful scene, he kept looking at it without blinking his eyes so intently so that this scene would get embedded in his heart and pitched in his memory forever
