Loving and fighting
Accusing, uniting
I can't imagine a world with you gone
The joy and the chaos, the demons we're made of
I'd be so lost if you left me alone.

|Chapter: 63|

"Are you sure you want to go?", Mary asked again for how many times I lost count. I looked at my reflection in the mirror. My shoulder length brunette hair was messily falling, a dark purple bruise on my left cheek and my eyes were puffy. Thanks to Mary and Kevin for getting me a haircut which wasn't that bad but I doubt it suit me, I just felt odd without my long blonde locks.

I huffed tiredly. "Yeah. I cannot miss my classes." She rolled her eyes before standing behind me and looking at me in the mirror, she started fixing my hair.

"Silly, no biggie alright. You don't have to go if you're not feeling well. You can stay here as long as you like. And what about Nick?"

That's the eighty percent of the reason why I don't want to go beside the twenty percent that I can hardly walk. But then if I don't go he will take no time to come search for me here. At least I can make something up when I meet him.

I turned to look at her. "Don't worry. I can handle him", I assured her. She looked unsure, but nodded.

We walked to her car parked in her driveway. I got inside slowly in the passenger seat with Mary's help. One side of my body was still sore and painful to the point I couldn't describe.

"Those bitches will pay", Mary sneered before walking to the driver's seat. The whole night she kept rambling how we should try to find out who were behind bullying me and plot revenge against them. Little did she know I can never forget their faces even if I try.

After the twenty minutes ride, we reached Fallon High.

"If you need anything just call me or Kevin, we'll be there for you. Even if we are in the middle of a class. And I mean it", she said seriously.

I got the best friends in the whole universe no doubt. Maybe that's why I got bullies too. Because the almighty doesn't want everyone's life to be perfect, does he?

I smiled at her nodding. "Thank you."

She groaned rolling her eyes. "Here is the annoying Serena I like. Note the sarcasm. Now, get out of my car before I kick your ass out."

"And here is the rebel Mary I like", I retorted back. I turn to unlock the door when she quickly stepped out of her car before running to my side. She opened the door for me and helped me out.

"I can take it from here don't worry", I assured her once again. I don't want her to be late for her class. She slowly let go off my hand frowning like she didn't like the idea of letting me go back to the hell hole.

She had her concerned face as she walk back to her car. When she drove away out to the street, I pulled my hood on to hide my hair under it and sighed before limping towards my locker. I tried my best to walk normal when I saw students giving me their looks in the hallway.

I thought of all the lies I'd tell to Nick over again. Afterall I prepared the whole night thinking. But when I saw him casually leaning near my locker, I found myself losing my voice. He has already harassed my phone with his messages and calls which I didn't answer. It will be more difficult than I thought.

He was wearing that cute frown on his face, lost in his thoughts that he didn't even notice me. I decided to playfully ignore him and see for how long he doesn't acknowledge my presence. I opened my locker harshly to startled him, he jerked away and I somehow restrained myself from burst out laughing.
