Kaabang-abang every school year ang class picture. Ngunit paano kung pagkatapos makuhanan ng class picture ay magsimula ang mga kakaibang pangyayari sa section nyo? Anong gagawin mo?

Ganito nagsimula ang kwento ng 6th class ng St. Venille na mas kilala bilang “The Devil’s section”. I am not really a fanatic of horror/mystery/thriller books or movies. After Class 3-C has Secret, Class Picture na ang second book of the same genre ang binasa ko.

Bawat part ay connected sa bawat isa. I wont go into details about it para ma-curious ka kung hindi mo pa nababasa ang Class Picture. Mapapaisip ka talaga kung sino ang “killer”. Para siyang survival game and you’ll trust no one.

Class Picture is a good story to read. Mapapraktis ang detective skills mo.  I have to say kudos to the writer, FakedReality for a good story.

ABOUT THE STORY

Question: Since Class Picture is featured in the magazine, can you tell us a little bit about it for those who haven’t read it yet?

Answer: It’s about a class with a hidden bloody secret. Pagkatapos na pagkatapos ng kanilang kuhaan ng class picture, isa-isang pinapatay ng misteryoso ang mga estudyante sa pang-anim na seksyon. Bawat estudyante ay may sikretong tinatago – mga sikretong may kaugnayan sa nakaraan. Isang kwento ng pagkakaibigan, pag-ibig, at paghihiganti.

Q: What has inspired you to write this story?

A: Sa tingin ko yung drawings ko. Bago ko kasi ‘to isulat nagsi-sketch ako sa likod ng isang academic notebook ko. Basta parang may play button sa utak ko ta’s paulit-ulit yun. Naisipan ko siyang isulat, and then nagulat na lang ako na biglang nag-hit. Kaya todo-todo pasasalamat ko eh. (I didn’t answered family, friends or loved ones, masyadong common na eh but they are also my inspirations. )

Q: What’s your favorite scene in Class Picture?

A: For me, I would choose Shini’s death scene. I don’t know why but naa-amaze talaga ‘ko sa death scene niya. Kahit na I have, like, 20+ death scenes na pagpipilian, siya pa rin yung favorite ko.

Q: Who’s your favorite character in Class Picture? Why?

A: Alexandra Bartolome, kasi kapag sinusulat ko siya nag-e-enjoy ako. Lalo na yung mga awayan and agawan moments nila  ni Lacus kay Hunter. Basta, nadadalian ako sa scene kapag involved yung character niya.

Q: How long did you write this story, and what kept you motivated to finish it?

A: 6 months. What motivated me in writing? I’m going to say that it’ll be my readers…kasi, as a writer, mas mae-enjoy mo kapag nakikita mong may nagbabasa at nakaka-appreciate ng gawa mo. Isang factor na rin na nakapagpatuloy sa akin ng pagsusulat nito is yung mga friends ko rin; sila yung nagbibigay minsan ng ideas and suggestions kung anong mangyayari sa next scene.

Q: We can see that the story has a sequel. Anything you wanna share about it?

A: Yeah sure, tungkol ito sa parehas na klase pero ibang mga tao ang involved dito. Sa storyang ito naman, mahahalungkat ang mga sikreto ng nakaraan na hindi nabanggit sa book one. Mayroon ring mga karakter na magbabalik, katulad ng book one, may patayan, may killer pero iba ang rason niya.

 

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Q: How do you feel that your story’s getting featured in the mag?

A: One word: overwhelmed. To be honest, hindi pa nga rin nagsi-sink in sa ‘kin na sikat yung storya ko. Parang one day I’m writing, then the next day I got a million views already.

Q: What’s your secret in hooking your readers into the story?

A: Hmm…secret? Sa tingin ko wala naman eh, I’m just an amateur writer na nagsusulat sa wattpad. Kung meron man, siguro yung pagbibigay mo ng thrill sa mga mambabasa mo. Yung tipong excited sila lagi kung anong mangyayari sa mga susunod na eksena at mararamdaman nilang sila yung isa sa mga karakter mo.

Q: When and how did you start writing on Wattpad?

A: Siguro mga January [2014]? Kasi tinuloy ko pa yung isang romance eh kaso dinelete ko na. Then mid-February I started writing Class Picture. Kung titignan mo sa Wattpad account ko, one year member na ko. I used to be a silent reader back then pero hindi ako active sa Wattpad nun.

Q: Do you see yourself pursuing the writing industry as a profession in the future? Why or why not?

A: My answer for this will be a no…kasi for me, for fun lang yung pagsusulat and time-killer siya. Nababawasan niya yung pagiging bored ko kasi napapagana niya yung imagination ko, pero kung mabibigyan tayo ng opportunity, I wouldn’t waste it kasi bigay ‘yan ni God. 

Q: Anything you wanna advice other Filipino writers in the Wattpad community?

A: Hi there, aspiring writers and readers of the Wattpad community! Para sa mga writers diyan, don’t stop writing, ha? Kung nadi-disappoint kayo kasi walang pumapansin ng storya niyo, don’t get your hopes down. Malay niyo bigla siyang mag-hit katulad nung sa akin. Unexpected…basta don’t give up. [Isa sa mga pros] ng pagiging writer is nakapagbibigay ka ng saya sa reader/s mo in your own little way. Nakakatulong ka and nakaka-inspire ka pa ng ibang tao. :)

Q: Notebook or laptop?

A: Notebook – for drawings. LOL.

Q: Most preferred POV?

A: What? I seldom use POV’s in my story kasi mostly 3rd person ginagamit ko. Parang narrative kumbaga.

Q: Preferred language – English, Tagalog, Taglish? 

A: English but as you can see, my story is in Taglish. This is because most Filipino readers understand this language easily than pure English or Filipino.

Q: Preferred genre?

A: Obviously it’s Horror and Mystery/Thriller but I’m a frustrated Romance writer. xD

Q: Favorite author/s (foreign, local, or both)?

A: John Green, Ransom Riggs, Marcelo Santos III and Ace Vitangcol

Q: Favorite book/s?

A: Book of Answers, The Fault in Our Stars, Percy Jackson series, and Divergent.

Q: Describe your ideal girl.

A: I’m sorry but I’m going to leave this question unanswered. I’ll be keeping the answers for myself, it’s confidential. Lol! :D
