Third Person POV

"Y/N?" Sam called. "I'm home!" The silence was a little overwhelming as Sam looked around the apartment.

"Y/N!" Sam called out again. Still nothing. Sam sighed as he went to the bedroom and sat down on the bed. Then he noticed a note on the nightstand, a note from his "princess."

Hey Sam Nook <3,

I went out for a little bit to my usual spot. I'll be back for dinner.

Love you <3!

Y/N

Sam chuckled and got up to go to his stream setup. Y/N never told Sam where this "usual spot" was and what she did there, but he didn't ask. He trusted her enough to leave her to do what she wanted, and she had promised him that she would and could never cheat on him. Even with this promise, Sam couldn't help but be curious about what she was doing.

First Person POV

I sighed as I opened the door to the apartment and closed it behind me with my foot. It was ten minutes before dinner, so I was back before when I promised Sam I would be home.

"Sam!" I called. "I'm back!"

"Hi! I'm streaming!" I heard Sam call back. I put down my backpack, grabbed my other bag and quietly went into his room.

"Hi Sam," I said quietly. Sam turned his chair around and immediately smiled.

"Hey princess," he answered, stretching his arms to me for a hug. I went over to him and hugged him and he pulled me into his lap.

"Can I say hi to chat?" Sam nodded and I leaned over so that my face was in view of the camera.

"Hey chat!" I said excitedly. "Was Sam being nice to you? If he wasn't, he gets no cuddles." Sam gasped in mock hurt and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"She's lying, chat. I was being nice and popping off." I giggled and got off his lap.

"See you later, chat. Sam Nook needs food so I'm gonna make him some." Sam smiled at me before gently kissing me.

"And while she's doing that, I'm gonna go pee, so enjoy your chair time." I laughed as Sam pulled up his BRB screen and muted.

"Hey princess?" Sam asked. "Can I see what's in the bag?" I blushed a little and shrugged.

"It's kind of cheesy, but sure." Sam looked at me and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"I'll only look if you're cool with it."

"Sam, it's fine," I answered. "You can take a look." Sam nodded and took the plastic bag from me. He opened, and a smile immediately crossed his face. The bag was almost full of seashells, rocks, and a few lucky pieces of sea glass. Collecting items from the beach had been a habit since childhood, so when I was able to get an apartment near a local beach, I knew that habit would return.

"Wow." Sam's voice brought me back to reality. He was carefully looking at the different shells, smiling at me.

"Y/N, this is super cool," he said in admiration, holding up a scallop shell. "You get all of these from the beach down the road?"

"Yup," I said hesitantly. "This is probably gonna be the last time I go, since the weather's getting colder." Sam just shook his head in wonder, wrapping an arm around my waist.

"I'm impressed, princess," he said, kissing my forehead. "But, where the heck do you keep all of these?" I smiled and took his hand, leading him into my office. I went over to the two little drawers by the window, and opened them all. Sam gasped and looked at the drawers, which were full of different shells, rocks and sea glass.

"Here you go," I said with a giggle. "I guess you could say I popped off."

"Damn right you did!" Sam replied in amazement. "This is so cool, Y/N!" I giggled again as Sam pulled me into a hug.

"Next time you go, can you take me?" I smiled up at him and kissed his cheek.

"Of course, Sam Nook."
