Late Night Drive(Quackity)

Time to pop off, muffinheads! I'm here to feed you with a Quackity imagine.

I closed my laptop and leaned back in my chair. Another essay completed for the second time this week. I checked the time on my clock, which read 11:45. I sighed and flopped down on my bed, but I got up at the sound of my phone ringing. I grabbed it off of my desk and smiled to see it was Alex, my boyfriend.

"Hey," I said once I answered.

"Hey," Alex said. "You still doing work?"

"No," I replied. "I just finished. Why?"

"Well," Alex said, his voice sounding like a kid who did something he shouldn't have. "I may or may not be in your driveway." I sighed and went over to my window, and when I pulled back the curtain, I saw Alex's car in my driveway and him standing in front of the car,

"Get your butt down here, mi amor," Alex said playfully. I giggled and hung up as I ran downstairs, hurriedly putting on shoes and going outside. I walked out onto the driveway to find Alex, smiling like an idiot.

"What is it with you just showing up?" I asked, and he laughed.

"It's no fun if I tell you. That ruins the surprise." I giggled and kissed him softly. I felt him smile and he opened the car door.

"Shall we, hermosa?"

"We shall," I answered and climbed into the passenger's seat. Alex soon got in on the driver's side and handed me the auxiliary chord.

"Wow, you're trusting me with the tunes?"

"I already know you have an immaculate music taste, mi amor," Alex said with a teasing smile, earning him another kiss.

"Alright, strap in, Big Q," I replied. "Cuz we're only playing bangers." Alex whooped as he started up the car and pulled out of my driveway. Before long, we were on the highway, and since it was late at night, the road was mostly empty. I looked at Alex as we went further down the highway, so I put the first song, the starting instrumental making Alex smile.

*playing One Day by Lovejoy*

"Stop. 'Cuz why'd you have to kill my cat?"

"Why'd I have to take you back?"

"And time and time, I play the empath."

"I don't know why, but some lights on in an empty pub."

"A toliet with the seat left up"

"Is closure like a deer in headlights."

Alex laughed as he started singing the chorus.

"One day, I know that you will be there."

"One day, I'll focus on the future," I sang along.

"Maybe one day," we sang together, reaching an obnoxiously loud level. "Oh baby, isn't life so fucking inconsistent?"

"Told you we were only playing bangers," I said after the song was over, and Alex laughed.

"You do have the best music." I rolled my eyes as we exited the highway. After driving for a little more, Alex pulled over and parked the car at a park, the park where we went on our first date. It was still dark out, but through the sunroof, we could see the moon. Alex climbed into the backseat and stretched out his arms.

"Come here, hermosa," he said, and I laughed as I climbed into the back. I leaned against him, and we just sat in silence.

"What am I gonna do when you go back home?" I asked, suddenly sad. Alex looked down at me before placing a kiss on the top of my head.

"You can go on drives without me?"

"That's no fun, dumbass," I said. "The point is for us to do this together."

"And we'll have plenty of time to go together when I get back," Alex replied. "Prometo, mi amor." I smiled at the nickname as Alex hugged me tighter.

"Te amo, Alex," I said quietly as we both sort of drifted into sleep. I wasn't sure if he heard me, but I felt him kiss my head again and whisper,

"Te amo, Y/N."
