"I already told you!" I said to Alex, who had climbed into the passenger seat of my car. "You really don't have to come with me."
"Well, too bad," Alex replied. "I'm coming with you." I groaned.
"Alex, it's my younger cousins. I have to babysit them. It's nothing special."
"So?" Alex said, his face lighting up with a smile. "Your aunt and uncle have met me, and they're cool with me. Besides, your cousins are cute, like you." I put my hands over my face so he wouldn't see me blushing. I've been with Alex for a year, and he always knows how to make me flustered.
"Alright," I said finally. "Put your seatbelt on." Alex cheered and kissed me on the cheek before putting on his seatbelt. It wasn't a long drive to my aunt and uncle's house, and after ten minutes, I pulled up to the house and honked the horn to let them know I was here.
Or, that we were here.
My aunt came out the front door, her arms open.
"Y/N, you're here!" she exclaimed as I hugged her. "I can't thank you enough for watching the kids."
"It's not a problem," I said. "I hope it's okay that I brought Alex. He wanted to tag along."
"It's more than okay." My aunt waved to Alex, who was waiting by the car. He waved back, a huge smile still on his face.
"Hey, Y/N!" My uncle appeared behind my aunt. "It's so good to see you!" We exchanged high-fives, and I noticed two figures waiting in the hallway.
"Hi, you two," I said with a wave, and they timidly waved back.
"Alright, we better get going," my aunt said, giving me one more hug as my uncle pulled their car out of the garage. "Call me if you need anything."
"I will," I replied, my cousins behind me and clutching my legs. "Have fun!"
"We will!" my uncle called, waving at my cousins. "Bye you two! Have fun and be nice to Y/N and Alex!"
"Okay!" they both called, waving as their parents pulled out of the driveway and drove off. Alex came up the driveway after they left, and I saw a smile light up on Y/bc/n's face.
"Alex!" he exclaimed, running over to him.
"Hey, big man!" Alex said, picking him up. "How's it going? Ready to have fun with me and Y/N?" My cousin nodded excitedly, making Alex laugh. I smiled as I walked inside, Y/gc/n holding my hand.
"Y/gc/n," I said to her. "Are you okay with Alex being here?" She nodded with a smile.
"I like him a lot," she said softly. "But you like him more." I laughed and picked her up.
"You're absolutely right."

Two and a half hours went by too fast. I heard the front door open and glanced over at Alex. Both of my cousins were leaned up against him, fast asleep. He looked over, a smile lighting up his face.
"They like me more," he whispered, and I rolled my eyes. My aunt and uncle came into the living room, and smiled as soon as they saw the four of us on the couch.
"You two must of tired them out," my aunt said quietly, picking one of the cousins up.
"Just the usual," I replied. "But I think they had more fun since Alex was here. I might turn over the babysitting duty to him."
"Nah, I'll stick to just tagging along," Alex said with a laugh. "You can thank Y/N for bringing me."
"And you're always welcome," my uncle said as he and my aunt headed for the stairs. "Well, we've gotta put these two to bed. Thanks again for watching them." We said it was no problem and waved goodbye as they went upstairs. We walked outside, both of us letting out a yawn.
"I forgot how much energy they have," I said, rubbing my eyes. "I'm exhausted."
"Aw, tired baby," Alex teased, then he picked me up and kept walking down the driveway.
"Alex, put me down. I wanna drive!"
"Nope, you sleep, I drive." I sighed as I opened the passenger seat door and got in.
"You're lucky I love you," I muttered softly, but Alex definitely heard because he planted a soft kiss on my lips.
"You know I love you, mi amor," he said, and I smiled. As he pulled out of the driveway, I instantly drifted off to sleep, Alex's hand on mine the entire drive home.
