"Let's elope."

At first, I started to laugh. I mean, surely Harry is joking.

I haven't seen him all week, which isn't a lot of time considering we've gone months before apart, him off on tour while I had work. But this last week without each other, it's been hectic. With the new year, and all the jobs I have to keep up with, I've had to do a yearly reset for everything.

Grapejuice Blues turned two years old on New Year's Day, so of course I had to make it special. The salon has been busier than ever. West has a launch coming up for my birthday. It's been a lot.

Back to Harry, we don't officially live together when we're both in LA. I still keep a lot of things at my place, and with Emma house sitting for one of her friends for a couple more weeks, I've had the house to myself — except for when she makes random visits home. Though, when I get lonely I tend to stay at Harry's. During this week, that wasn't the case. I almost forgot what it's like to be completely alone, no matter how refreshing it was, I missed Harry terribly.

None of our friends know it yet but Harry and I just spent the entire morning looking at houses together. There is always the option to either move entirely into my place or entirely into his place, but it never hurts to have other choices. This was obviously something we've discussed before, especially since getting engaged, but now everything is starting to become a reality. After finding our dream home in Tuscany – which is where we actually just spent the holidays – and now searching for a home in LA together, our lives are intertwining more than ever before.

"Wait, you're serious?" I genuinely have to ask, because if he is serious I might just think he's crazy.

We're sitting in the car, parked in a Taco Bell parking lot with Harry in the driver's seat. He was just gazing out the window while he waited for me to finish eating. And the second he noticed I was done with my wrap, he said those two words. At least he waited until I was finished so I didn't choke on my food out of shock.

He turns his whole body in his seat so he can fully face me as he speaks. "Yes! Why shouldn't we?"

Immediately my answer is, "You're mum would be pissed."

"She'll get over it." Harry waves it off.

I try to think of another reason, literally anything for why we shouldn't elope. It's proving difficult. I love him and in reality, we have yet to make any plans for our wedding; We don't even have a date in mind. Before meeting Harry, I didn't think I'd ever get married so there's also no childhood dream of some grand wedding that I'd be letting go of. I have no expectations, it's just me and Harry. There's no one to disappoint – besides Anne – and eloping would be very on brand for us...
