The capital of the Palpadia Empire, Esthirant.
Emperor Ludius' study.

Everyone in Emperor Ludius' study saw two balls of light turn from the sky in the distance. Even in the mid-morning light, the two balls of light were like small suns descending from the sky. After a while, the balls of light were obscured by the buildings and trees around the palace. Less than a second later, there was a red color in the sky that came from the direction where the ball of light fell. Soon there was a low rumbling sound indicating an explosion at the impact point of the balls of light.

"What is it? Find out immediately!" ordered Emperor Ludius.

A guard immediately left the room to find out what happened. Meanwhile, there was a louder rumble of explosions. This signaled that there was a closer explosion than the one they saw, only on the other side of the room they were in.

Suddenly, the guard, who had just gone out for news, came into the room in a hurry.

"Majesty, something terrible has happened! Esthirant Harbor is completely destroyed! There were two balls of light that came down from the sky and destroyed the harbor. Currently, the harbor and the houses around the harbor are on fire." The guard said.

"What? How come? What happened there?" asked Emperor Ludius.

"The ball of light that we saw descended on Esthirant Harbor as well, your majesty. When it hit the water in the harbor, there was a huge explosion. Another ball hit the harbor itself. The entire harbor and the ships in the harbor were destroyed. Not even a single one of the ships and buildings in Esthirant Harbor remained." the guard replied.

"That's like core magic from the Ancient Sorcere Empire!" someone said.

Everyone in the room fell silent. Emperor Ludius also broke out in a cold sweat, he recalled the words of the Mu Empire ambassador, stating that the Myto Empire had technology at least equal to that of the Ancient Sorcerer Empire.

Suddenly, an imperial staff walked into Emperor Ludius' study. His face looked very worried.

"Majesty, very bad news! The large-scale military base outside the city of Esthirant was destroyed by an enemy weapon in the form of a ball of light!" said the palace staff.

"What? Specify the level of damage! How many of our soldiers were killed?" asked Emperor Ludius as he stood up from his seat.

"Your majesty, the military base was completely destroyed! No one survived as well as the people near the military base." The palace staff replied.

Emperor Ludius immediately sat limply on his chair, speechless. Everyone in the room was terrified by the news. Without the large-scale military base, Esthirant could not survive. But looking at the reports from Esthirant's harbor, the same destruction must have happened to the large-scale military base guarding Esthirant.

Everyone was silent for almost a minute. Suddenly, the door to Emperor Ludius' study opened again, and another palace staff member walked into the room. He looked panicked and almost opened his mouth to say something, but once the staff saw the condition of the people in the room, including Emperor Ludius who looked troubled, he fell silent.

"What is it again?" asked Emperor Ludius to the Palace staff.

"Sire, the four harbors around Esthirant where we stationed military ships were destroyed! According to the news, two orbs of light hit those four ports. There are no buildings or ships left in those ports." The palace staff who just came in replied.

Emperor Ludius could only sigh and ask, "How many of our battleships were casualties?"

"We only lost 47 ships in Esthirant Harbor." Answered the palace staff who entered first earlier.
