Chapter 58

Emmi's pov

I laid on the couch sick as ever. My stomach hurt, head hurt, throat hurt, everything.

"Where's daddy?" I asked mommy as she came in.

"I don't know honey." she sighed and stroked my hair.

I sighed. I really miss him, I wish he was here. He never is anymore.

"I miss him." I sighed and laid my head on the couch arm.

"Why don't you watch a movie?" she suggested and handed me the remote.

I nodded and turned on Frozen while my stomach debated about settling down or to continue to hurt.

I watched for awhile then daddy came in.

"Daddy!" I cheered and he smiled.

"Hi princess. How are you feeling?" he asked.

"Could be better." I told him.

"I'm sorry." he frowned and I shrugged.

Maya came down and didn;t show any excitement for him being back.

"How long are you here for?" she asked.

"Maya." he sighed and she rolled her eyes.

"Maya, why don't you take Emmi upstairs?" mom suggested and Maya nodded.

I got up and we both went upstairs. RIght when Maya closed the door we heard arguing.

"Why are they arguing?" I asked and she sighed.

"Dad hasn't been around and mom is upset, When mom's upset, I'm upset." Maya explained.

"I don't like it." I covered my ears.

"Me either." she sighed.

"Closet?" I asked and she nodded.

We both huddled in our small closet while they both yelled at each other.

"How long will this last?" I asked.

Maya shrugged and picked me up, putting me in her lap.

"I don't know princess, I just don't know." she sighed.

We stayed in the closet as she hugged me. We were both worried.

Why is this happening to us?

Shawn's pov

I stormed out of the apartment and got in my car.

"Damn it!" I hit the steering wheel with my fist.

I started the car and drove away from my home.

It's not even my home.

It's not my fault I have to travel. It's my job, I'm not leaving. I'm just traveling.

Why can't anyone understand this?

Screw this all.

Am I a leaver?

No, I'm not. It's a job.

I'm not a leaver.

Maybe Katy and I just need a break.

A/N: Decided to get a little update for you guys. Thought of this during school :)

Book, as if now, is not off hold quite yet. I will try to get the rest of the part of this book up soon, that doesn't mean in a day guys. It'll take awhile.
