*NOT EDITED*

I showered in the morning and headed downstairs. I think I am starting to develop this new routine here, and I wasn't liking the thought of that. I didn't want to stay, and I didn't want to start getting comfortable here either.

I had my food in silence after thanking Emily for being by my side and letting me call my mom for moral support. Emily stuck by me and made sure to do everything my mom asked her to do, and I was eternally grateful to her. My mom couldn't come and see me because apparently since Axel wasn't on pack grounds, no body is allowed to enter the territory. Only he is allowed to grant people access.

"He is in his office," she informed me. I took that as a sign that she wanted me to hash out my problems with him now. She knew I was angry.

"Thanks, can you take me there. I don't really know where it is."

"Follow me, but if he asks, I had nothing to do with this," she gave me a sly smile. We both knew that he would have been able to smell her wolf scent lingering in the hall even after she had left.

"My lips are sealed," I replied back with a smile of my own. I followed her down a set of halls, and then she led me to a set of double doors. She wished me luck and patted my shoulder. At least she was rooting for me. I barged into his office without knocking. I wasn't here to play, and I didn't want him thinking that he will gain an ounce of my respect after what he pulled this week. I don't care if he is Alpha of the most hated pack ever. Respect is earned, no matter who you are. He lost it.

Mason was inside the office, and it seemed like they were discussing some important things together. However, my bursting through the doors seemed to grab both their attentions. I was able to detect a guilty look on Mason's face. But, I didn't really care about what had happened between Mason and I, five days ago. Plus, it wasn't like Mason would have been off the hook if he had gone through what his wolf had wanted. He would have lost his real mate, and Axel would have killed him just in virtue of touching his mate, not because he cared about me at all.

"Mason get out." I ordered, straight to the point.

"Mason stay," he gritted out. "I don't know who you think you are, but you barge in here unannounced and then order my Beta around. I am Alpha and only I give orders around here," Axel answered. I can't believe he has the audacity to pull ranks right now.

I knew that I was putting Mason in a pretty uncomfortable situation, but I needed Axel's undivided attention, and I won't get it with Mason here. "Mason, I said get out. Now." I affirmed my previous statement. I think his guilt from the other day weighed on him and made his way out of the room. He just defied his Alpha, and I am sure Axel is already starting to be pretty angry. Now that I was alone with him, I didn't know what I wanted to say to him. What exactly do you say to a person who has screwed you over repeatedly?

"You left me! You left me when I was most vulnerable. You weren't there when I needed you most!" I yelled at him. I didn't give him a chance to talk before I said, "Do you have any idea how much pain I was in? You never even checked up on me. Not even once. You stayed away until it was safe for you to come home." I blamed him.

He ran his hands over his face, and said, "I couldn't mate with you before we had the Lunar Ceremony and the Council approved that you are fit to be Luna. It is tradition."

"Screw tradition! So, what if your Council deemed that I was unfit to be Luna, you would have rejected me, right? Fine, let me make this easier for you and reject you right now, that way we can both be done with this. I, Calista—,"

"Don't you fucking dare!" he interrupted me and slammed his hands on the desk. He stood up and ran his hands through his hair, slightly pulling on it. I was so thankful that the desk was separating us both because I wasn't sure if we would have attacked each other or embraced each other otherwise. However, I was feeling less safe by the second. He moved around the desk and stalked towards me. I couldn't help but move back with every step forward that he took. Once I was trapped between him and the wall, he grabbed a curled lock of my hair and twirled it between his fingers. I tried to shove him off, feeling his rippling muscles beneath my palms, but he didn't budge. He bent slightly over so that his lips were level with my ear and whispered, "You will not reject me. Instead, you will get yourself ready for the Lunar Ceremony that will happen at the end of the month. You will train to pass the Council's test, and you will do what I ask. You are not going anywhere." His other hand made its way to my cheek and stroked it. He knew that he was getting to me. He knew that if he does this, I will bring my guard down and accept what he said. He knew that he could control me. We both knew that I loved him, and I was way more invested in this than he was. He was taking advantage of it.

"No."

"Your parents and friends will be here in about 30 minutes. It would be a shame if you left now and missed them." He said looking away, finally giving me back some of my personal space.

"Really?" I couldn't help but feel elated that they were coming here. My heart was hammering in my chest, and I didn't know whether it was because of the news I was just given or because of Axel's previous proximity. I knew that there was so much more that I wanted to talk to him about, but I couldn't get myself to stop thinking about how excited I was that they will be here. I got out of his grip and headed towards the door. I wanted to wait for them outside.

I was halfway out of the door when I heard him call my name. I turned around to look at him.

"Anything else you wanted to talk to me about?"

"Later, I have more important things than you on my mind right now." I turned around to leave again before I heard him say, "I invited them on my territory and gave them a place to stay. However, if any one of them betrays my trust or even gives you the idea of sneaking out of the territory, I will torture them first then kill them." I couldn't tell if this was an empty threat or not, but decided not to test the waters.

Why does every nice action he ever does have to be tainted with something ugly? I was extremely happy that my family will be coming here, that I didn't care about his macho ways or how he planned on implementing his alpha rank when they get here.

I went outside and after a little while and saw a fancy car pull into the path in front of the main pack house. They are here!
