Allirah's POV

After dinner and once I helped Zach I went back up into my room to record a cover. I got out my guitar and started to strum the opening to 'Send My Love To Your New Lover' by Adele. I practised before recording so I didn't mess it up.

Once I thought I had it, I set up my camera and microphones and pressed record and started to play.

"This was all you, none of it me

You put your hands on, on my body and told me
Mmm, told me you were ready
For the big one, for the big jump
I'd be your last love, everlasting, you and me
Mmm, that was what you told me

I'm giving you up
I've forgiven it all
You set me free...

Send my love to your new lover
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more
Send my love to your new lover
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more...

I was too strong, you were trembling
You couldn't handle the hot heat rising (rising)
Mmm, baby, I'm still rising
I was running, you were walking
You couldn't keep up, you were falling down (down)
Mmm, there's only one way down

I'm giving you up
I've forgiven it all
You set me free, oh...

Send my love to your new lover
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more
Send my love to your new lover
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more

If you're ready, if you're ready
If you're ready, I am ready
If you're ready, if you're ready
We both know we ain't kids no more

No, we ain't kids no more...

I'm giving you up
I've forgiven it all
You set me free...

Send my love to your new lover
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more
Send my love to your new lover
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more

If you're ready, if you're ready
(Send my love to your new lover)
If you're ready, are you ready?
(Treat her better)
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more
If you're ready, if you're ready
(Send my love to your new lover)
If you're ready, are you ready?
(Treat her better)
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more.
"

I finished and I stopped recording and packed up everything. There was a knock at my door as I was putting my guitar away and in walked Ashlyn. "Hey!" I exclaimed happily as I zipped up my guitar case and went over to hug her. "I've missed you." I whispered.

"I've missed you too." She said back and we sat down on my bed. "How are things with you and Zach?" She asked and I sighed.

"Good. We're on good terms."

"Are you guys back together?"

I stared at her and shook my head. "Why not?"

"We're taking things slow." I replied, quite annoyed that I have to repeat myself.

"But why though?"

"Ashlyn, I really hate repeating this conversation, so can we drop it?"

I heard her sigh and she got up and she walked out the door. I groaned and fell back on my bed and rubbed my eyes with the palm of my hands. To be honest, I don't even know if I want to go slow on this, but I'm only doing it because he wants to.

I checked the time and it was 10:43pm so I got ready for bed and finished my book. There was a knock on my door as soon as I read the last line and looked up. "Come in!" I called and the door knob turned and Jonah poked in his head. "What can I do for you?" I asked him cheerfully.

"Can I talk to you?" He asked. I stared at him and then nodded as he closed the door and sat down on my bed. "What do you want to talk about?" I asked.

He sighed and stared into my eyes. I looked at him confused. "Are you alright?"

"Seriously, what is happening between you Zach?" He blurts out. I was taken aback once he said that. "I-I told you, we're taking it slow."

"But do you want to take it slow?"

I was silent and looked down in my lap and then slowly nodded.

"Are you sure you wanted to do this?"

"Yes, Jonah, I'm very sure that I want to do this." I said.

He looked at me for a little longer until he got up and walked out. "Goodnight Allirah." He said quietly before closing the door. I bit my bottom lip as I turned off my lamp and sunk down under my bed covers and closed my eyes and slowly drifted to sleep.
