At 21, when Siddharth had first stepped into the world of glamor, he had his dreams, his aspirations, his struggles but what he didn't have, were rumors. Today almost thirteen years into the future Siddharth Shukla was a household name. Everyone knew him. Everyone talked about him. Everyone had their own stories to tell about him.

Some true, some false.
Some sweet, some bitter.

Today, every project of his was a potential link-up story. Every public appearance with a new actress a speculated relationship. Today he was the most eligible bachelor and a casanova at the same time.

That's how life worked, in the entertainment industry.

Today was no different, the television in his apartment was on, his mother was cooking breakfast for him while the news of another alleged breakup played in the background.

"TV kyon chala rakha hai Maa?" Siddharth asked softly.

"Aise hi. Background ke liye." Rita Shukla said with a shrug of her shoulder.

"Bilkul pagal family hai meri." Siddharth sighed in fond exasperation.

"Teri shoot hai aaj?" His mother asked.

"Yes. Night."

"Toh lunch ke liye mil le aaj Sana se. Bacchi ko phone kar dungi me agar kahega toh." Rita Shukla said with a glimmer of mirth in her eyes.
Siddharth sighed, hopping on the counter next to where his mom cooked omelettes for his breakfast. "Acha theek hai. Aap cook ko kyu nahi bolti ho breakfast dekhne ke liye? Unko barabar unki pagaar deta hoon mein." He said.

"Pata hai mujhe, par maa ke haath ka khaana maa ke haath ka hi hota hai." His mother replied casually.

"Fine. What was I even thinking.."

For the next few minutes, Siddharth watched his mother work in silence.

"Mumma. Is this really necessary?"

Rita Shukla sighed, "Yes Siddharth. Yes it is."

"You know what kind of rumours there are, surrounding my personal life. Shehnaaz is from a completely different background Maa, she has no knowledge of the workings of this place. How will she.. y'know deal with everything?" Siddharth argued.

"Everyone learns Siddharth. You're not perfect, neither is she. You both have a lot to learn, and you can do it together. That's what marriage is all about." She explained.

"She is doing theater, she is good at what she does. She is pursuing her studies alongside. She is not as clueless about the entertainment industry as you think. Of course she's not an expert or anything but that's what you are there for. That's what everyone in our family is there for." She added.

Siddharth wasn't convinced, but nodded.

Rita Shukla smiled.

"Chal table pe, breakfast la rahi hoon.." She asked whilst pushing him towards the dining area.

Siddharth and relationships didn't go well. He had had a couple relationships that he thought would really work out, and then they didn't. Sometimes, they wanted different things from their lives. Sometimes, it wasn't meant to be. He however, wasn't a casanova or anything like the media said. He had lived most of his life in the company of women, his mother and sisters and friends. He wasn't the kind of guy who'd dump a woman just because he was bored of her. He was, in the real sense of the word a keeper and he'd fight tooth and nail for a relationship to stay, if he saw some hope in it.

He was sitting in the private area of a seven star restaurant, dressed in a white blazer and denim jeans, tapping his fingers absently on the table in front of him. He was nervous to say the least. He was looking forward to meeting Shehnaaz, after all he had been hearing nothing but praises for this girl from his mother for the last twenty days.

Shehnaaz entered the area, escorted by the manager. She was dressed in a pink and gold Patiala Suit. Her hair styled in soft waves. (BB14 waala Outfit) Siddharth stood up from his chair, blinked slowly.

She was beautiful.

"Shehnaaz.." He walked up to her, taking her hand into his own and led her to the table. "Please make yourself comfortable."

Shehnaaz smiled at him as he pulled the chair for her. "Thank you."

Siddharth returned to his chair, across from Shehnaaz. "Should we order something?"

"Uh. I don't know." She responded, biting her lip nervously.

Cute

"I'm not going to attack you." Siddharth said softly. "You can relax."

Shehnaaz blinked, her lips lifting into a small smile. "I'm sorry. I'm not used to any of this. I-"

"I'm probably not even dressed right for this place." Shehnaaz said quietly.

"You are absolutely okay. Although I did have to wait for you for a little too long." Siddharth complained.

"I had rehearsals for a new theater drama. I couldn't get out of the last minute improvisations. I'm sorry." She apologized, pouting cutely.

Siddharth smiled. "That's okay. I was kidding."
Shehnaaz nodded. "You're a favorite in our group."

"Yours too?" He asked eagerly.

Shehnaaz chuckled. "Sure. Of course."

"You're just saying that because I'm right here." He sulked.

"No. I really like your work. I love it." She exclaimed urgently. "Seriously. I really do admire your sense of script.. your.. your timing--"

"I get it. I was joking." Siddharth said softly, holding her hand across the table. Shehnaaz stopped abruptly, mid-sentence and stared at him innocently.

"You're so cute." Siddharth grinned at her.
Shehnaaz looked away, as a soft red blush crept up her face.

"Kuch khaogi?" Siddharth asked hopefully.

Shehnaaz nodded. Siddharth called the waiter and ordered the food.

When his mother had been pestering him to meet Shehnaaz, he didn't know what to expect, but he knew one thing; At the end of their first meeting as he walked her to her apartment. He was already waiting impatiently to meet her again.
