Chapter Thirty Five

"Choose." Siddharth gestured between the two cars parked outside their apartment building. Siddharth sat in one while the other was being driven by Rajveer. The three kids stood between the two cars, Shehnaaz being right behind them. "Who are you little devils traveling with?"  

"Mamu.." The trio answered in unison and Siddharth fake groaned. Shehnaaz shook her head, chuckling softly. 

Preeti looked back at Siddharth. "Arrey.. hum sab aa jaayenge." 

"Mere bacche bore ho jayenge tum budhe logo ke saath. We'll take them." Siddharth said firmly. The younger of the three kids squeal happily.  

"Mamu aur Mami ko pareshaan nahi karna, okay baccha?" Preeti instructed the twins. She looked up at Samyukta and Shehnaaz and smiled.  

The twins nodded eagerly.  

In the next few minutes, the family settled in the two cars, Preeti-Raj and Rita Maa in Rajveer's car, Siddharth-Shehnaaz and the "three little devils" in Siddharth's car and they started towards their destination in high spirits.  

About two hours later, they reached a resort overseeing the hills in lonavala. Shehnaaz was left pleasantly surprised as she looked out of the car window. "It's beautiful.." She whispered, almost quietly. Siddharth smiled.  

"I had called ahead, to book a section of the resort completely for us." Siddharth told her. "It'll be easier this way, to avoid the media."  

Shehnaaz nodded.  

They parked their cars in the parking lot and checked into the resort. A part of the resort was booked completely for the family giving them enough privacy. Siddharth had never actively tried to hide from the public eye, but this was a special occasion. He was with his whole family, even though he was a star in the public eye, he was still just Siddharth to his family.  

Siddharth helped everyone settle into their rooms so that they could relax for a few hours, till the time Neetu and Aarav could join them.

A few hours passed, Neetu Di and Aarav jiju had just reached the resort where the rest of the family was staying. Siddharth led them to the pool area where Samyukta and Shehnaaz were chatting while Ishaan and Daksh played in the kids pool.  

Neetu immediately rushed up to Shehnaaz and pulled her into a tight hug. "Kaisa hai mera baccha?"  

Shehnaaz hugged her back, "Acchi hu, Di. Siddharth ko pareshaan kar rakha hai mene pichle kucch dinn se." 

"Accha hai.. yeh gadha aise hi kaabu mein rahega." Neetu said, glancing back at her brother in a teasing manner. 

"You're my sister. Bhool gayi hai kya?" Siddharth asked, frowning at her.  

Neetu giggled and shrugged. "You know we all like her better." She said nonchalantly.  

Siddharth shook his head. "Meri family mein mera hi koi importance nahi!"  

Aarav jiju wrapped his arms around his shoulder, "Aise kaise importance nahi hai, bahot saal laad kiya hai sab ne tujhe, ab uski baari hai."  

"Haan haan.. sab pata hai mujhe."  

Shehnaaz chuckled at the exchange. "Mat tease karo na Siddharth ko.." She said cutely.  

Aarav smiled at her and pulled her into a side hug alonside Siddharth. "Aur kisi ke importance ki tujhe kya zaroorat hai, jab tu iss bacchi ki jaan hai."  

Shehnaaz blushed and Siddharth smiled at him in agreement. "Valid."  

Aarav hugged Shehnaaz properly, tightly and shehnaaz couldn't help but melt into his warm embrace. She loved both of Siddharth's brother in laws, but Aarav had coaxed his way into her heart much earlier than Rajveer could, she didn't know why, but he had.
