Shehnaaz was sitting in the balcony of her apartment, her phone resting on the side-table, pinging continously. It had been an exhausting week. She was suddenly being noticed everywhere. There were people, perfectly kind, nice, sweet and star struck (for some reason) walking up to her and telling her that they loved her. The people that didn't even know she existed, a week back were suddenly trying to be best-friends with her.

Suddenly, she was under the spotlight and it made her nervous.

She looked around herself, the balcony was small and neat. It had a small bamboo swing which she was currently sitting in, along with a coffee table. She could see her room from where she was sitting, small and neat, painted in a soft pink color. The room was furnished with a queen-sized bed, one computer table and a bookshelf. She had little furniture but it was everything that she needed.

She was proud of what she had. It was little but it was hers. She remembered Siddharth telling her that she was where she was because of no one but her own self and it was everything she needed to hear from him. He understood her and respected her the way she didn't even think possible.

However, she couldn't ignore the fact that she was engaged to a freakishly handsome, billionaire philanthropist who also happened to be the superstar of the Bollywood industry. The thought made her heart skip a beat. What if she was actually not good enough for him?

Shehnaaz sighed.

I need you to know that this marriage is the best decision that I've ever made.

A ghost of a whisper played at the back of her head, Siddharth's words acted like a warm fire, shielding her from the cold wrath of her thoughts and a small smile graced her lips.

Siddharth loved her..

She blushed, her heartbeat quickening at the reminder.

A few minutes into her thoughts, she heard the doorbell ringing. She frowned, exiting the balcony and wrapped her shawl around herself before opening the door of her apartment.

Siddharth stood in front of her, dressed in a black semi-formal shirt and dark-blue denim jeans while his jacket hung from his right arm. He smiled at her while Shehnaaz practically lit up at the sight of him.

"Hi superstar!" Siddharth entered the apartment, dropping a quick kiss on the top of her head.

"Hi Siddharth.." She responded, following him inside like a lost puppy. "You had.. shoot, right?"

"Yeah, I did. It was hectic but I wrapped up early. I was missing my superstar." Siddharth responded carelessly.

Shehnaaz grinned, "Really?"

Siddharth smiled at the chirpy little bird grinning at him and nodded. "Of course."

"I was missing you too.." She spoke in a baby-like voice. "Soo much."

Siddharth pulled her into his arms, "Call kar leti na buddhu."

"Busy week. So much work." She mumbled into his chest making him chuckle at her fondly and kiss her forehead once again.

Siddharth led her towards the couch, still not pulling out of the hug and sat with her on his lap.

"Meri superstar busy thi?" Siddharth cooed softly.

Shehnaaz nodded. "Aapki superstar sacchi mein superstar bann gayi hai. Everyone knows me, everyone wants to talk to me." She told him and proceeded to recount the previous week to him in accurate detail.

She looked adorable, blabbering away about the week to Siddharth like a child would tell their mother about their day at school.

Siddharth heard her attentively, holding her securely in his arms. "--Siddharth.. sab jagah paparazzi mil jaate hai."

"Hmm. Tera bhi naam aa gaya hoga rate-list pe. If they spot you, click you they'd get paid. Par baby, agar uncomfortable ho, toh unn logon ko seedha se bol dena ki pictures nahi le. They'll leave you alone." Siddharth said softly.

Shehnaaz nodded.

Siddharth kissed her nose. "I know that this life that you're going to enter is not the easiest but it's still going to be yours. You still have control over it. Don't ever feel pressured into anything. You understand? You don't want to get clicked. Tell them that, you don't wanna answer questions, tell them politely and walk away. They won't and they can't force you. Yes baby?"

"Yes sir." Shehnaaz nodded obediently.

Siddharth shook his head fondly.

"Aaj shoot tha na tera?" Siddharth asked after a few minutes.

"Yeah. Ad shoot."

"Ghar kab aayi?"

"Ten or fifteen minutes before you." She responded.

"Did you eat?" Siddharth asked.

Shehnaaz shook her head. "I was.. going to order something.. I didn't want to cook." She said quietly. "But, I think I've had my rest. I'll make some coffee."

Siddharth frowned as Shehnaaz tried to wriggle out of his arms. "Shh.." He warned, glaring at her while she pouted.

"You just said you don't feel like cooking."

Shehnaaz sighed. "That's okay."

Siddharth looked at her surprised. "You just said.."

"It's okay baba. Mein bana deti hoon. Coffee hi toh hai."

"No."

"Siddharth.."

"Superstar!" Siddharth eyed her sternly.

Shehnaaz whined and buried her face in his chest. "Mein maa se aapki complaint karoongi."

"Kar lena." Siddharth said softly, wrapping his arms around her.

'Woh aapko bahot daant lagayengi." She mumbled snuggling closer to him.

"I know." He responded cheekily.

Shehnaaz hit his chest playfully.

"I love you birdie." He mumbled into her cheek before pecking at it.

"Birdie?"

Siddharth shrugged. "You know.. always chirping, always hopping around and all.."

Shehnaaz chuckled. "What are you then?"

"Don't know.. tum batao?"

Shehnaaz frowned thoughtfully.

"Mi Vida.."

"Vida.."

"Life.. It means My life. Its spanish."

"Tujhe Spanish.. ati hai?"

"Not exactly. Ek book mein padha tha kucch waqt pehle, padha toh ek dum aapka khayal aa gaya."

Siddharth didn't know how he could respond to that. His heart fluttered in his chest. Something warm engulfed him, making him sigh in contentment.

How.. why did he deserve someone like her, so pure, so innocent, honest and--

Siddharth cupped her face firmly in his palm and placed his lips on hers, kissing her softly, pouring everything that words couldn't convey into the action. Shehnaaz smiled against his lips, acknowledging his love, gratitude and disbelief, kissing him back.

The kiss was slow, gentle and chaste. Once they parted, a few minutes later in need of breathing, Siddharth rested his forehead against her for no other reason than to be there and bask in the serenity of the moment.

"I love you, Mi Vida." Shehnaaz breathed out, quiet and shy. "Forever."
