"Good morning." Siddharth said cheerfully. Shehnaaz smiled, looking up at him and Siddharth pecked her lips.
"You're up early." She noticed, "and you're making breakfast, what's the occasion?"
Siddharth shrugged. "Honestly, there's no occasion. I just wandered into the kitchen and saw the eggs, and thought to myself, why not?"
Shehnaaz cooed softly. "Do you have any plans for today?"
"A couple of meetings and our song is releasing next week, remember? There's a photoshoot lined up for both of us." Siddharth responded.
"Kaushal informed me."
"Do you have any plans?"
Shehnaaz shrugged. "I wanted to go to the orphanage for a few hours. I wanted to go and see Megha." She said softly.
Siddharth nodded in agreement. "I think you should. She's a sweet kid."
"She is." Shehnaaz smiled. "I'm hungry."
"Just five minutes, cupcake." Siddharth kissed the top of her head gently and rushed back to the stove. Shehnaaz giggled.

"Mami.." Samyukta tugged at Shehnaaz's dupatta, causing the older of the girls to turn back to face the younger. Samyukta had a small box in her hand, with a beautiful engraving of a tiara on the topside.
"What's that?" Shehnaaz asked, taking the box from Samyukta. "May I open it?"
Samyukta nodded. Shehnaaz sighed deeply and opened the box to reveal a beautiful bracelet studded with zircon and a solitaire shining in the center. Shehnaaz ran her fingers delicately across the bracelet. "It's beautiful. Kiske liye hai yeh?"
"It's my best friend's birthday this Saturday. We've been together almost all our life. She is almost a sister to me and mom and dad know all about her. She loves bracelets so.. I was saving up to buy this for her. Is it really a good gift?" Samyukta asked, making absolutely sure.
Shehnaaz nodded, smiling widely. "It's gorgeous, sweetheart. Absolutely gorgeous."
Samyukta grinned. "Thank you maami."
"Did you show it to mom?" She asked.
"I'm going to, bas ghar hi ja rahi hoon. Aapke paas isiliye pehle aayi kyonki aap aaj-kal ka trend and stuff jaanti ho." Samyukta explained.
Shehnaaz nodded in understanding. "You have my approval. It's beautiful."
Samyukta giggled softly and hugged her. "You're the best. Ab mein jaati hoon, okay?"
Shehnaaz nodded.
