Siddharth slid open the door connecting Shehnaaz's room to the huge, spacious balcony and walked towards the railing that Shehnaaz was standing, leaning against. It was very late in the night, way past their usual sleeping time. Siddharth was busy reading a script in the hall of their apartment and had assumed that Shehnaaz was sound asleep in the bed, like she should be but when he entered the room he found a note stuck the door, bearing the words,

So he did what was expected of him, joined her.

"When did you come here?" Siddharth asked softly, sliding his fingers through her palm.

"When you were busy reading the script." She responded, not looking back at him, but straight ahead at the horizon.

"Why are you here?" Siddharth asked.

"Because I can't sleep and I am bored." Shehnaaz responded. "I don't want to sleep."

"I can help with that." Siddharth said cheekily. Shehnaaz smiled sarcastically. "No."

"You didn't even listen to me." Siddharth whined, pouting like a child.

"You're mi vida. I know you." Shehnaaz responded.

Siddharth shook his head. "Long drive pe jaayegi?" He asked.

"Yeh kyon?" Siddharth asked, eyeing the cloth hanging loosely from her arm. Shehnaaz shrugged. "Just like that."

Siddharth chuckled and shrugged back at her. "Chal aaja, get the apartment keys. Lock karke nikalte hai, waapis toh neeche hi jaana hai na?"

Shehnaaz nodded and picked up the house keys from the shelf, following her Vida out of the apartment.

Shehnaaz looked so hot when she drove, her gaze fixed straight ahead, fingers drumming against the steering wheel lightly, synced with the music playing in the car. She talked endlessly still, but her focus never wavered from the road in front of her. They hadn't exactly left home with a real destination on their mind. The destination, much like the rest of the plan was going to be a spontaneous, beautiful place from where Shehnaaz could watch the stars while Siddharth would watch his star, shining brighter than a thousand stars combined, the one that had brought light to his dark and honestly, meaningless life.

"We have to get you your own car." Siddharth said, suddenly. Shehnaaz scoffed. "Thak gaya mujhe drop kar-kar ke?"

Siddharth rolled his eyes. "Bakwaas mat kar."
