This is my perception of Death in the books.

Rune ignores several questions, its not a mistake or anything if she doesn't answer.

How was I supposed to love him now?

I haven't even been given the chance to say till death do us part.

"How can you love someone more than your life?"

My eyes flicked open to the sound of a deep raspy and airily voice.

To my demise, my world was no longer what it was before.

The ground was dried out and cracked. Broken branches and tumbleweed scattered around the place.

The sky was a pale orange. Filled with a light layer smoke that makes you want to suffocate.

Yet you wouldn't even be able to exhale if you tried. It's like breathing didn't matter anymore.

"Its pathetic to love someone more than yourself."

The voice continued to speak. It came from afar, in a different direction each time.

"Reveal yourself." I stated.

"If you loved him more than your life then why fight death."

I was getting irritated.

"I'm not fighting anything." I stated.

"Oh but here you completely aware of your existence."

I tried walking forwards. Walking through the empty vast lands. Looking back seeing the distance I've travelled, nothing made sense.

It only felt like a three minute walk. Why have I travelled miles away from where I had been.

"How does it feel to be clueless for once."

Aggravating.

But it then came to me.

I could not remember who I was.

"Help me" I called out, my voice echoed.

No reply.

I continued to walk. Searching for the source. Realizing the more I did, the more I forget.

Slowly, I lost every memory I had.

I could not remember the colour of my eyes.

"Oh....How your family clings onto your soul. They have such faith in you."

He uttered a name which couldn't process into my mind.

I was about to go crazy.

All I could hear for a while was gushing wind.

"Tell me, Would you still love him if you knew this was the outcome."

His words was different each time but I knew they all connected to one thing.

"Oh what a clever girl."

I just don't know what that core thing is.

"A shame isn't it."

"Show yourself and I'll answer your questions." I bargain, tired of him reading my mind.

Instantly a monstrous and slender figure appears, towering over me with great height. A creature of bones covered in ghostly drapes.

"Who are you?" I ask under my breath.

"More what than who."

"Then what are you?" I rephrase impatiently.
