I sighed.
I looked diagonally behind my seat to see who was sitting with him.
No, I don't wanna sit next to him. I was just seeing if the person sitting next to him was known to him. So that he won't bother me.
But as expected again, that person was someone slightly unknown. I mean what if he was known to him? Whatever.
"Is there something wrong?" a voice came from behind.
I tilted my head to recognize the owner of the voice and it was from Jason.
"N-no, why?"
"I noticed you looking behind repeatedly so—"
"Oh, nothing! I was just looking here and there" I chuckled.
"Or maybe you wanna sit over here?" he motioned his gaze towards the seat beside him.
"N-no, I already have a seat for myself. Thank you!" I smiled and looked in front.
By that time, the air hostess came in the front and instructed us on the precautions and safety measures we must take in order to save ourselves from any disturbances during the journey.
I tucked my seat belt and moved my gaze towards the window.
The sky was bright blue with a few clouds floating around. They were of various sizes. It was a beautiful sight for real.
"So how are you?" I heard a voice from behind again.
I ugh-ed.
"I'm good" I snapped uninterested.
"I'm good too" I felt a small grin on his face.
"Great!"
"The scenery is so beautiful!"
"Yeah, it is"
"You do wanna sit with me, right?"
I didn't respond.
"You do, right?" he asked again.
"Nope, I already have a seat for myself"
"I mean, if you want, you can switch seats with—"
"I said I don't want to, Jason" I raised my voice a bit.
I looked at him and saw a small smirk on his face.
I tilted my head back towards the front and closed my eyes.
"Well, what if we become a pair? Wouldn't that be amazing?"
"I don't care" I snapped again and slept.
The flight journey was around 4 hours long though.
Soon, I fluttered my eyes open and noticed the airplane landing.
Wow, I really slept that long.
"Good evening, we have landed in New York safely.Please remain seated until the plane is parked at the gate. We ask you to be prepared with your belongings before coming out. Please don't be in hurry to get off the plane, thank you! Hope you had a great flight!"
We heard the air hostess announce.
I looked at Katie and saw her sleeping quietly. I kept my hand on her shoulder and shook it softly.
"Just a few more minutes, mom please!" she pleaded and whined.
"Kate, it's me! Not your mom" I chuckled.
Her eyes opened within a flash of light as she realized where she was.
"O-oh my god! I'm so sorry!"
"It's ok! We're gonna land in some time."
"Really? So soon?" she yawned.
"The flight was 4 hours long, girl!"
"Oh!"
"So did you, Melissa, right?" Jason spoke.
I didn't respond.
In a few minutes, we landed.
I grabbed my bag, walked along the line in between the seats, and climbed down the airplane,
"Girl, you really slept the whole time" Katie laughed.
"Well so did you, hehe!"
"Hi!" a masculine voice popped up.
I rolled my eyes.
"Oh hi, Jason!" she smiled.
He smiled back.
"I've always wanted to visit New York! I can't believe I'm here!"
"Good for you!" I faked a smile.
I grabbed Katie's hand and started to walk away from him.
We all made it through the airport and came out from the exit door.
I looked around and it was indeed beautiful!
The sky was covered with shades of crimson and gold and the setting sun was spilling light all over the land. I love sunsets!
"Students, we have ordered a set of cabs for all of us so please make sure to be here!" our teacher announced.
We all started to talk and chit-chat while waiting for the cabs to arrive.
Soon, they arrived and we got into them.
As expected, I sat with Katie. Next to me was a window hehe.
Thankfully, Jason did not come inside the same cab like me. Thank god, really!
I sighed with relief and smiled.
I wonder what's planned for us here, in New York!
