Jamie

"I didn't know you had a cat." Harry laughed, scooting into the bathroom. He was holding an icepack over his eye. Crookshanks ran in behind him, rubbing against my leg.

"I'm sorry, I didn't feed you last night." I rubbed her head as she purred as if to tell me she understood. I wiped the few tears left on my cheeks and looked up to him. He walked over and reached over me to shut the shower off.

"What if I had been showering?" I asked as he sat down next to me.

"That was a risk I was willing to take." He winked. I rolled my eyes and smiled. I laid my legs down flat on the floor so Crookshanks could sit on my lap. She jumped up expectantly and I pet her.

"I'm sorry he hit you." I said smally.

"I'm sorry I didn't hit him back." Harry said nudging my shoulder.

I shrugged my shoulders.

We sat there quietly for a few moments as I stroked Crookshanks back, Harry joined in petting her head. I was never a cat person until I could only afford an apartment that allowed cats. The more I fall in love with my baby girl, the more of a cat person I've become.

"We're going to have to head off to Milwaukee tomorrow." Harry said.

I looked down, this is what I was worried about. That once he'd left, even the short while we'd been face to face, that it would be over with. I put him through so much, I mean really he's about to have a black eye thanks to me. How does he expect to explain that to his fans at the concert.

"I'd like you to come." He added. My heart picked up, he wanted to continue seeing me.

"I thought...this was it." I said standing up, letting Crookshanks run to the door, ready for the food I forgot to feed her.

"Jamie, I got punched in the face. If I was planning on ditching you, I would have left already." He shook his head as he followed me.

Several hours later...

Harry

I'd convinced Jamie to call her boss and let him know she'd be gone for a few days. She told him it was a family emergency, I scolded her for using such a thing as a fake excuse. She insisted it was the only thing he would allow. I told her that her and Sally were more than welcome to come to Milwaukee and Chicago with us and that we would fly them back home before we left for another state.

"Yes, Sally. Really." She spoke on the phone. A grin spreading across her face.

She looked over to me and just laughed. I tried not to think about how beautiful she looked and happy. And the fact that I'd made her happy. Trying to keep my feelings at bay was difficult, but I wasn't about to move in any time soon. They weren't even technically broken up yet.

"She'll be over shortly." Jamie said, placing her phone on the table.

I texted Liam the address for them to bring the bus around to Jamie's apartment.

"Are you going to tell Jake?" I asked her. We hadn't even spoken of him since he left.

"I don't need to, some space will be good for the both of us." She said as she threw her second bag on the counter.

I felt a small pain in my heart as she said us. Well done, Harry. You're in deep now, aren't you?

As if sensing my discomfort, she stopped and walked closer to me.
