Jamie

Harry and the guys talking to their management was comedic.

"Well, if Harry hadn't tried to bang those birds when he was 18, maybe it'd be easier for us to have pleasant fans hang out with us." Louis said.

"THEY WERE OF AGE!" Harry yelled back to him.

The guys all laughed.

"Sure, sure." Louis waved him off.

For a second as we were all laughing at Harry's expense, I felt like I was living someone else's life. And then as soon as it left, the pit in my stomach returned. I'd have to come back here in a few days and I'd have to deal with Jake.

"Niall, where are we going on our date?" Sally asked, cuddling closer to him.

Niall looked around at us confused, Zayn bringing a hand to his mouth to stifle a giggle.

"Erm...we're goin' on a date?" he looked at Sally.

"Yes, you have a day off between Milwaukee and Chicago. I figured we could go out then." She grinned.

Niall laughed a little and threw an arm over the seat by her. Her face froze. That was Sally, all talk until the real thing happened.

"I'll think of something." He smirked.

"Oh, finally. Niall's going to go on a date." Liam said turning on a gaming console.

"Is this what you guys do?" I asked.

"Yeah, we uh play a lot of games. And sleep." Harry said sitting next to me. His arm wrapped up over the seat by me. I cursed myself for what I thought about Sally, I was frozen myself.

I yawned at the thought of sleep. Harry was quick to notice.

"Would you like to lay down?" he asked sweetly. I nodded slowly.

He guided me toward the curtain at the far end of the bus.

"You kids behave now." Zayn said waving, the continued to laugh at Niall and Sally awkwardly flirting with each other and both being quite bad at it. Liam started playing some first person shooter, while Louis scrolled through his Twitter feed.

"Goodnight." I said to everyone. Sally waved to me and continued to talk to Niall again, they were getting closer and closer if that was even possible on that small booth.

Harry opened the curtain for me and ushered me to the bunks. They were so small, I found it hard to believe Harry at his height with his long legs would fit on such a bed.

"You can sleep in my bunk." He said pulling the blanket back and fluffing the pillow.

I thanked him and crawled into the tight space. He pulled the blanket over me as I lay my head gently on his pillow. As soon as the blanket was up to my shoulders, I was completely engulfed in his scent.

"Sleep, angel. I'll be right here." He said turning to sit against the frame of the bed. He leaned his head back to rest it on the mattress, not too far away from mine.

Angel, he called me angel. It was the sweetest thing I'd ever heard. My mind didn't catch up with my body as I looked at my hand that was running through his curls. Harry hummed and closed his eyes.

I couldn't believe I just did that, and I was continuing to do it. Like it was no big deal, completely natural. I caressed his curls as they fell over his back and behind his ear.

"Is this okay?" I asked hesitantly.

"Quite, alright." He whispered.

He sounded like he was straight out of a Lewis Carroll novel every time he spoke. I wondered if I would ever get used to it or sick of it. I hoped to hell I wouldn't, I wanted to keep this feeling.

I continued playing with his hair until I welcomed the sleep that was itching under my skin. A sleep that was well needed after the day I had.

Harry

I jumped awake at the sound of what I thought was Niall's snoring. Deciding to get a glass of water, I stood up and stretched my legs and headed towards the bathroom. I moved passed the curtain in the dark and once I made it to the living quarters, I heard the snore that woke me up. It was Sally, she was sleeping on the couch.

"I have no idea how that is coming out of that." I whispered to myself, shaking my head. I moved quickly to the bathroom and got a plastic cup of water. I let the cool liquid run down my throat. My phone was still in my back pocket. I grabbed it out and checked my messages.

I'm sorry.

Please, forgive me.

Bloody hell, Nadine. Look who's crawling now. I rolled my eyes and thought back to the girl sleeping in my bunk right now. I think back to dating Nadine. Things were so different. I don't feel like a celebrity with Jamie. For once, I just feel like a normal guy. Of course I loved Nadine then, but that ship had sailed. Whether or not Jamie was over Jake, all I cared about was having her in my life right now. She needed me and I apparently needed her.

Making my way back to my bunk, moving past Sally's obnoxious snoring, managing to wake no one up. At least that's what I thought, but as soon as I sat back down in front of my bunk, laying my head close to Jamie's, Louis piped up from his bunk.

"Mate, don't mess this up." He whispered. I didn't say anything, I just smiled to myself. Jamie's hand moved automatically to my shoulder, even just the slightest touch. I thought back to her running her fingers through my hair, not something I normally let anyone do anymore. But the way she did it made me feel calm and tired. I loved it. I could fall asleep to it every night.

"Goodnight, my angel." I said, turning my head to kiss her hand. I knew I'd sleep easy, even being on the floor just because I was next to her. I push away the thoughts of not being this close to her again for weeks or even months at a time. Back to emailing and texting, none of this right now. We would have to venture out of our little world at some point, but I couldn't think about that. All I could think about was how I'd remember how she smelled and how her arms felt when they were wrapped around my neck. Keeping those thoughts tucked tightly away in my heart, we would be okay.
