Harry

A clear license plate was given to our security from the hotel, they could track it back now. If they were dumb, they used their own car and we could find them easily.

I had not slept in what felt like days, it probably had been. Liam was asleep in the bed in my room, I stood next to the window anticipating a ringing from my phone. My stomach growled, I had drank almost an entire pot of coffee, even though the hotel room coffee maker was small, I could still feel my hands fidgeting as I padded back and forth in place on my feet.

The other guys had gone back to their respected rooms, Liam refused to leave me though, he really was like the Dad of the group. I could trust him to be there for me through anything, even all the nights I spent bent over my toilet in my earlier clubbing days when we first got popular.

I looked over to him, he looked so peaceful. I silently thanked him for always being there for me and looked back to the window.

I jumped as my phone rang in my back pocket, it was an unknown number.

"Hello?" I said into the phone.

I noticed Liam had perked up as if he was anticipating in his sleep like I was awake. He walked over to the coffee pot and shook his head realizing it was empty.

"Hey Harry." It was a males voice, something deep in my core told me this was not a security update.

"Who is this?" I asked.

Liam was making a new pot of coffee while he listened intently with me. I put it on speaker phone and pointed to his phone on the bed, silently telling him to get a hold of someone.

"My name is Luke. Before you call any backup, I suggest you take a few minutes. Jamie,-" Luke was the bastards name, I shook my head angrily. Liam stopped reaching for his phone and held both of his hands up.

"Let me speak with her." I told him.

I could hear her yelling my name in the background.

"Not yet." Luke said.

Liam was in front of me now, I was holding the phone out between us. It took everything in me not to break something or yell or scream.

My Jamie was wherever they were on the end of this phone call. At least she was alive, that's what mattered. I didn't know what this Luke character was about to ask of me, but if it kept her alive and kicking I'd do just about anything.

"What do you want?" I asked him.

"I want to meet with someone, not you. Someone who knows Jamie. We can talk then and keep this quiet." He said.

I didn't want to bring anyone else into this. I didn't want to put anyone in danger, Jamie had already been kidnapped. What could they have done to her already? I couldn't take someone in her life and do the same.

"Do you know how hard this is going to be to keep quiet, Luke? We already have your car, we're waiting on your license plates." I told him, hoping it would change his mind.

He laughed on the line.

"That car is long gone, Styles. We're not completely daft." He told me.

God damnit.

"Let me speak to Jamie." I told him again.

"Will you agree to the terms? Get someone who knows Jamie to her and we will talk through that. No cops. No security. Just us. Is that a deal?" Luke asks.

I looked up to Liam, I could tell he had no idea what to do either.

"What if I don't?" I ask him.

"Then you don't get Jamie." Luke said simply.

"You can't just keep her." I told him.

"No, but you can change how long it takes to get her back, balls in your court Styles." Luke said.

I wanted to hear Jamie. I wanted her to tell me she was okay. Would she hate me later on? At this point, it didn't matter. I had put her in danger, the least I could do was try to keep her safe.

"Fine. Deal. Now let me speak to her." I snapped.

Liam turned around and brushed his hands over his face.

"You've got to be kidding me." He shook his head and began pouring a new cup of coffee. We were in for quite a few more hours of being awake.

"Harry?" Jamie's voice rang out of the speaker. It was heaven, even if it was the worst thing in the world right now. She was closer to me than she had been in the last few days.

"My Jamie. My dearest Jamie. How are you. What are they doing, please tell me you're fine. I need this." I told her.

It was selfish of me, the need to know she was okay.

"I'm okay, Harry. They're not hurting me. They're feeding me and they don't have me tied up anymore as long as we continue to follow what they say. I'm so sorry I was so dumb, I shouldn't have gotten in the car."

Of course, in true Jamie fashion. She was blaming herself for what was happening to her. I tried so hard to break the habit for her, but only she could break it for herself.

"It's my fault, I shouldn't have left you. It's this damn hotels fault for their shitty service. They're lucky we don't sue them." I tell her. Hoping it makes her feel a little better.

"Harry, we need to get Jake." She tells me.

Of course, they want someone who knows Jamie. We wouldn't put Sally in the position, of course we will have to get Jake.

"We can call him, Jamie. We called him when we found out you were missing." I tell her.

She snorts a little.

"He's not smart enough, he probably didn't even care." She huffed.

"Actually, Jamie. He was worried about you. Him and Sally were working towards trying to find some more information on you."

The line was silent.

I hated putting Jake in a good light, the dick he was. Something deep inside of him still loved Jamie and cared for her, in his own way. It was a lot for him and a lot for Sally.

"I love you, Harry. I never thought you wouldn't come for me." She told me.

It broke my heart and put it back together again. Her trust in me was both startling and amazing. I felt terrible for getting her into this.

"I love you too, dearest Jamie." I told her.

"Get Jake, then we can talk more, okay?" She asks me.

"Of course, of course, as soon as possible. Stay safe." I tell her.

The phone gets passed on.

"Well, we have a deal Styles. I will look forward to hearing from your contact. Also, I will know if you track this number. Let me know when you need the address."

With that, he hung up.

"We have to tell security." Liam says.

Yes, of course we do.

"We won't tell them about Jake, not yet. I'll fly him to Jamie, then I'll know she'll be safe with him there, hopefully. His track record isn't the best, but at least she'll have some form of protection." I tell Liam.

"I have a plan." I add.

Liam nods.

He goes to hand me a cup for coffee.

Something snaps in my suddenly and I throw it against the wall. Shattering glass covering the floor once again. They already had to replace the lamp I broke earlier.

"Call room service." I shook my head and waved it off. I was going to call Jake and get his ass moving to wherever he needed to be.
