I have a lot of thinking to do.

The manga or anime never specified when the Uchiha massacre was, I just knew it happened a few days after Shisui died.

So I have to be on my toes.

I need to first fix some details on the barrier. I need to make it stronger. And bigger.

And my family, I will have a talk with them. They need to know if we are going to survive together.

And Naruto...

I need to see him too.

It is night by now, so he should be asleep. I go to his window, yep, still open. He needs to fix that.

I softly lay down beside him. It's almost like he's used to me because he straight away cuddled up to me.

He awoke a little, "Shishi."

I smiled, "hello Naruto, just keep sleeping."

I looked at me concerned "what's wrong Shishi?"

I looked confused, "what do you mean?"

I sat up and looked at my face "you seem so sad today."

He gently put a hand to my forehead "are you sick?"

I softly chuckled, "I'm not sick, Naruto."

He pouted "But you look sick, mom."

He immediately put a hand on his mouth.

I looked at him in shock.

Did...Did Naruto just call me mom?

"I'm so sorry! I'll never call you that again!"

He sounded completely scared and worried.

He raised his hands to my face, "I'll never call you that again, so... so just..."

He wiped my tears.

"So just don't cry."

I let out a quiet sob and I put my hands on top of his, "It's fine, Naruto."

I smiled through my tears.

"You can call me, mom."

I softly laughed as Naruto smiled brightly.

"Mom!" He hugged me tightly.

I hugged him back, tears still going down my face.

"Does this mean... we're a family?"

I let out another quiet sob, "we were a family from the start, Naruto."

He smiled and hugged me again, I patted his back.

"Does that mean... I'm not alone?"

I gasped for breath as I tried to keep my crying to a minimum.

"No Naruto, you were never alone."

I pulled away from the hug, "Naruto, let me give you something."

I pull the ribbon from my hair and loosely tie it around his wrist.

"Now, you will have something of mine with you," I made a little bow.

"I know it's not-"

"I love it!" Naruto smiled brightly, looking at the ribbon like it was gold.

"This means so much to me Mom," I chuckled and wiped my tears.

"Alright, but next time I'll give you something better," Naruto shook his head.

"All your gifts are equal to me," I smiled and patted his head.
