--Chapter 22--

For the entire day, I've had the same annoying reminder every five minutes about having to get home soon. Even though I've never been the one to worry so much about doing homework, today I just anticipated to get it over with. I still had to finish the entire page I got for homework a week ago in Calculus, but I was stupid enough to leave it all for the last day and make senseless plans with Olivia to meet her at the pub tonight.

"He's staring at me." She whispered laughingly as she put her hand on her forehead and tried to make it the least bit obvious that she was uncomfortable.

I laughed quietly at the situation, turning to catch a glimpse at the man she was talking about. "He's a creep." I scrunched my nose. His blonde hair was perfectly gelled back with light brown highlights. He was maybe around his late forties to early fifties, and the entire time we had been here, he has been on and off staring at Olivia. It is completely creepy, yet hysterical from her annoyed reactions.

I saw the same bartender that had attended us just ten minutes earlier, make his way back to our table along with a tray of our orders. "Orders' ready."

"Thank you," I smiled at him, quickly taking a look at his name tag. "George."

He smiled before looking down and realizing where I had successfully made the guess of his name. He set our large plate of french fries that we were going to share in front of us, placing a bottled water next to me and a can of cola next to Olivia.

"Enjoy." I watched the bartender walk away. I wonder why he had even came to serve us our orders. That's the waiter's job, not the bartender. The bartender is suppose to be... Bar-tending?

"Have you finished the book in Literature?" I asked as Olivia exchanged attention between her phone and I. I haven't even been attentive enough to remember the title of the book.

"Yes, why?" We weren't in the same class, but I had remembered that she had the same teacher as I did, which she takes right after I do.

"I was just wondering." I took a fry into my mouth.

"You know that there's a test on it tomorrow, right?" She rose her eyebrows before grabbing multiple fries in her hand after setting her phone down.

I knew that the test wouldn't be in too long, I just didn't know it'd be tomorrow. At least I had more time to stress about how unprepared I will be to fail tomorrow.

We talked for a while at the pub as people started to leave. It was just about to turn nine- that's when I realized it wasn't too late. But honestly I wish that Olivia would be a little bit less social. She talks non-stop.

"I have a couple hours to finish homework, so I think we should get going." I insisted, hoping to the best of my luck that she'd agree. Granted, she left before I did. I found the time to ask the bartender for a takeout box that I put the fries in. We ordered a large plate without knowing that we wouldn't even eat half of it. I decided to take it home rather than waisting good fries.

I gave him a tip, setting it on top of the tray he was holding before the glass bottle that was set upon it, fell off and he quickly caught it, due to that really fast reflex.

"Woah, I'm sorry." I apologized, realizing that I was the one who tipped the bottle.

"Don't worry." He smiled. "Thanks for the tip."

I exited the pub and got in my car, starting the engine as I reversed from the parking lot and made my way back home. As soon as I made it home, I saw that my mom was still up- the lights were on. I unlocked the door with my key, right when I felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket. I took it out, seeing that it was a message from Harry.
