Chapter 4:
It's two hours later and I'm now sitting on my bed, editing the video.
I heard a quiet knock and the door creak open.
I looked up to see my brother with a grin on his face.
I motioned for him to enter and he shut the door behind him before sitting on my bed with me.
He sat there looking at a small package that he held in his hands.
He licked his lips before looking up and speaking to me.
"Um, I just thought you'd like to have this."
He handed me the package and I carefully opened it.
"It was mums and she told me to give it to you if um... when your... you know, came back." He mumbled.
I gasped at the little necklace inside of the box.
It was the cancer ribbon sign with diamonds encrusted into it on a silver chain.
"Ni, this is... this is amazing." I said, tears welling up in my eyes.
I set the jewelry down before
engulfing my twin in a big hug.
We pulled away from our hug and he cleared his throat.
"I hate to be a buzzkill right now but, did you take your medication?" he asked.
I groaned, "No. I'll go and take it. It's in the kitchen."
We both stood up and walked into the kitchen.
And with my luck, everyone was on there at the moment, scarfing down some pizza.
Oh joy.
I quietly sneaked past the boys and to the drawer I kept them in.
I opened the container and popped one in my mouth before swallowing it.
I hate taking pills dry, but I can't take these ones with water for some strange reason.
"Hey Em, whatcha got there?" I froze at the sound of Louis' voice.
Niall and Harry's eyes widened a bit.
"Oh um... it's uh... pain reliever? Yes, pain reliever. I uh stubbed my toe." Oh god I'm a bad liar.
Louis eyed me then shrugged and they all continued to eat.
Thank The Lord above that they didn't find out, or else I don't know what I would do.
