Inaya's POV:
A week had passed since I moved here and I was still trying to adjust slowly. For most of the day, I had nothing to do except for, going from one room to another. However, I had become pretty close to Haleema who was the house keeper. She was a petite lady who was in her late 40s and also in many ways she reminded me of my mother

My day was usually passed in listening to her stories of her grand daughter and grand sons. Me and Zayaan had come to some kind of an understanding but I still felt there was a huge way for us to go. Zayaan was busy in his work for most of the time even when he returned home, he still kept on stressing about his work.

I talked with everyone from his parents to my parents daily on the phone but our conversations usually lasted for an hour as they themselves were busy. I had been begging for almost a week now, to Zayaan to take me out for a tour but he usually shrugged it off saying he would take me the next day but that 'next day' never came.

I sighed as I stared at the ceiling above. This was one of the reasons why I really didn't want to come, I knew Zayaan would be busy with his work while I'll be lonely at the house. I got up and made up my mind to go on touring myself. Wearing my hijab and shoes, I picked up my phone and purse and headed downstairs.

"Where are you going?" Haleema peeked out from the kitchen with a frown on her face. "I'm going out to explore." I replied wearing my coat. "But dear, you don't even know the ways."

I waved my phone at her. "No need to worry when I've got this." I smiled and with that I left the house. I took in a deep breath of the fresh air as I smiled at the surroundings. The wind was chilly as it ruffled through my hijab. Putting my hands in my pockets, I turned left and started my walk, admiring the view along the way. The way led to a hill which took me almost 20 minutes to climb and by the time I reached the top I was extremely out of breath which made me realize how unfit I exactly was.

It was 6 pm by now so the sun had started setting down. I could see lights blinking at a distance, and I decided to head towards the lights. After walking for another half an hour I had finally reached the area and found out that it was actually the city centre. A huge smile broke out on my face as I looked around in awe.

I could see the blue mosque, from which at a distance, there was Hagia Sofia. I looked at it wide eyed, I had only seen it in pictures and movies but seeing it in person was even more enticing. I took out my phone and captured as many pictures I could then walked around exploring more.

This made me realize, I could have done this a week ago instead of doing nothing in the house. I walked from shop to shop until my legs were finally tired. It was dark by now and I checked my phone only to see it was 8:30pm. I should head home now, Zayaan might get worried.

And that was the point when I realized, I had no idea where home exactly was. I had walked without really paying attention to my surroundings and I had no idea about which way to go. I decided to call Zayaan when I remembered, I didn't have Zayaan's number either. I never had the need to have it, if he had wanted to call, he called on the house phone.

Fear struck me as i looked around for help. I cursed myself for being so ignorant, what kind of a person didn't know the area they lived in or moreover their husband's number. I started walking in the direction which looked familiar. If only I could reach the hill somehow then maybe I might be able to locate where I was. I decided to ask someone. I stopped a man passing by and asked him. "Um excuse me, I need some help, can you help me?" I bit my lip as I waited for his answer.

He gave me a look filled with confusion before he shook his head and left after muttering something in Turkish. Tears welled in my eyes as realization finally dawned on me. I was lost with no way to contact Zayaan or had any idea about where the house was and not only that I also had no way to communicate with anyone.

I sat down on the sidewalk as tears fell out of my eyes. I silently prayed for Zayaan to somehow find me but I knew it was impossible. He had no idea where I was and neither did he have my number. I sat with my head in my hands as more tears fell out of my eyes.

My phone rang and I jumped in hope that maybe Zayaan had somehow gotten my number but a disappointed look took over when I saw that it was my sister. Wiping my tears, I answered the call and placed the phone near my ear. By now the streets were slowly getting quieter and quieter as people returned to their homes.

"Inaya where are you?!" My sister's frantic voice reached my ears and I straightened up. "I don't know." I whispered in a broken voice. "What do you mean you don't know? Do you have any idea how worried Zayaan bhai is! He just called me, stressed, and said that you were gone and he had no idea where you were." She scolded and I hung my head in shame.

"Kanwal, i-i went out to explore and then I got lost and I don't know how to get home and I'm so worried." I cried out. "Ok Inaya, relax, I just gave Zayaan bhai your number and I'm sure he's about to call you in a moment. So I'll talk to you later." And with that she cut the call. And exactly at that moment my phone rung but this time it was an unknown number.

Knowing it was Zayaan, I took a deep breath and answered. "Where are you?" His cold voice came from the other side making me flinch and I could tell that he was beyond angry. Way to go Inaya, this time you have really done it. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard his emotionless voice calling out my name.

"I-im near the blue mosque, their are some shops there and I'm sitting on the sidewalk." I replied in a low voice. As soon as he heard that, he cut the call without saying anything further. Something told me, I was in for it big time.
