"And, now left. No. Right? Damn it!"

This palace was one heck of a maze!

I was standing at the intersection between two hallways on the sixth floor. And, just like every day, my memory got stuck coming here.

I had to cross one of these hallways and take two more turns to reach Silver's room. And, every freaking time it was a gamble of faith.

Only Superior Strength knew when I would be able to memorize this living maze. Till then...

"Right. Yeah, right." I stepped forward when a soft giggle rang behind me.

"Left. Actually, you are right too." Darla grinned before tripping over to me.

Someone looked giddy this early morning.

I smirked and crossed my arms. "Yeah? And, how am I supposed to believe it's not one of your infamous tricks to fool me, hmm?"

Darla groaned and walked past me to the right corner. I followed her steps.

"Oh, come on! That was, like, only one time. Besides, don't act like you didn't enjoy chasing me around like a giant, white, flour ghost."

I suppressed a smile and shrugged. "That's what you get for trap-touring me the kitchen."

Darla gasped. "Why you-you, flamingo! I trap-toured you! Me? The great Darla Bohengar? Never!"

I couldn't help but laugh at that weird deep voice she just made.

Darla puffed her cheeks and looked away glaring. She looked so cute pouting like that, I couldn't help but poke her soft cheek. As expected, she slapped my hand away, making me chuckle.

She really was my young Tulip.

We reached the familiar hallway of Silver's bed-chamber when Darla stood there and smiled.
