Cleaning

In the game, they hadn't had to worry about cleaning up, or dealing with survivors, but that wasn't the game. The main problem was that those gelatinous beings were very resistant to normal weapons. The cuts or blows had their effect reduced precisely because of the gelatinous nature of their body, which regenerated fast.

The best way to kill them was to destroy their neural center. However, it was hidden inside the strong protection provided by the shell, which wasn't easy to break.

It was best to use magic attacks, or imbue weapons with them. Since they were slow, it was relatively easy to kill them, but they had to be careful.

Gjaki jumped to the side to dodge a snail-bull's rush. If someone was at the right distance in front of them, they could Charge by using their body as a kind of spring. It wasn't very difficult to predict after knowing about such behavior, although it was very dangerous if there were a horde of them. Luckily, They were now spread out.

The snail-bull couldn't stop, so it collided with a rock. The vampiress had stood there precisely to provoke it. Furthermore, she had left some Tentacles to imprison and corrode it. In fact, dark magic was very efficient against them.

The lynx amused herself by attracting a dozen of those beings, jumping between them, tearing them only in passing. It enraged them, so they followed her, although they were too slow to be a threat.

She led them to a rock that Goldmi was behind. The elf circled it and summoned a Twister, which engulfed her enemies. While the slashes weren't very effective on their own, their flesh was very soft, so it didn't take much power to damage them. Although they regenerated, the continuous and relentless effect of the spell proved deadly to them, as it surpassed their regeneration.

In addition, the elf was launching Ethereal Arrows, which were embedded inside the gelatinous body, and damaged it continuously. They were effective. Their main drawback was the mana expense.

For her part, the goshawk basically kept watch. From time to time, she would attack some enemy with her wind aura, but never with Collide. If she did, there would be a real danger of getting inside the gelatinous body, which would have been very humiliating. It had happened to her in the past.

Eldi didn't have many problems. A Frozen Blast partially froze the snail-bulls around him. This caused their gelatinous body to harden, thus allowing a Devastating Blow to tear one of them to pieces, like glass.

Next to him, there was the couple of dwarf vampires, also with hammers. They seemed to enjoy crushing the frozen snails.

Once they got rid of the snails, the high human and the dwarfs moved the rock. Then, he stored it away, and Flattened the road. The rocks that had fallen outside the road were taken care of by Gjaki and some collaborators, Chornakish among them.

Although his abilities weren't the most effective against those enemies, just fighting by Gjaki's side was enough for him. He merely taunted the snail-bulls, and let them fall into the traps the vampiress had set.

Perhaps, the funniest event was the gaze of the first adventurers to arrive, together with some soldiers. They had gone to investigate the allegations about an evil vampiress, when they found the scene.

"What does this mean!? Although you have helped with the snail-bulls, you have damaged the property of the kingdom! You'll have to pay for the damage on the road!" the captain threatened arrogantly.

Dinksa sighed, and simply pointed towards Eldi. When they saw the ease with which he was repairing the road, and making the rocks disappear, they were speechless.

"What... What do you know about a dangerous vampiress?" the captain asked half a minute later, somewhat stunned.

"The Blood Queen? She had only scared them out of the road. A rock could have fallen on their heads if they stayed," the devil-vampiress explained, while showing her fangs and smiling.

The soldiers swallowed. Probably, they weren't scared of a vampiress like the one they were talking to, but the Blood Queen was a different matter. She was almost a legend, since they weren't very far from the Blood Kingdom. She was as adored as she was feared, and they couldn't help but look at Gjaki with apprehension and admiration.

Her silver hair was unmistakable, and the ease with which she dealt with her enemies was apparent. None of them dared to approach her, and many decided to get away from there,

Rumor had it that a thousand-strong army had angered her, and she had taken them all down without breaking a sweat. Of course, it wasn't true. At least, not completely.

However, it was also known that she wasn't an enemy to other living beings, unless provoked. With her as Blood Queen, their relations with her kingdom, now at peace, had been reactivated.

Many merchants had come and gone from it for years, and the stories they brought back were generous to her. Nonetheless, it was also said in several of them that she could be fearsome if you made her your enemy.

"What's the deal with those people? What're they afraid of?" Gjaki asked.

"The fame of the Blood Queen spreads throughout these lands," Diknsa explained midst laughs.

"You've done it again, haven't you?" her daughter accused her.

"Ha, ha. It was the best way for them not to bother us," Diknsa laughed.

"It's true..." Chornakish wanted to agree with her.

However, he stopped mid-sentence. The furious gaze of his lover slammed his mouth shut.

"Come on, come on, it's time to eat," Diknsa trivialized the matter.

Therefore, they set up a picnic in the middle of the battlefield. In the distance, the surprised soldiers and some adventurers watched them, not really knowing what to do. They felt a bit humiliated at being ignored, but they didn't dare approach either. They couldn't even leave until they were done. At least, the soldiers.

Not only did they have to make a detailed report, but the Blood Queen's presence couldn't simply be ignored. If they knew how many times she had visited the city in disguise, maybe some of them would have had a heart attack. Especially, those who had tried to flirt with her.

As if that weren't enough, some of her companions were also extraordinary. The man who Flattened the road and the elf who riddled the snails were especially striking. It was more than shocking to see them make the rocks disappear.

"It seems that it won't be easy to obtain the reward," Gjaki lamented.

"At least, we got some carrots," Coinin boasted. She had gone with them, although not to help.
