Parallel Casting Technique

"This is an array! He wasn't using Valhalla Path to move, he was using it to build an array!"

Will's plan was finally starting to reveal itself to the crowd as the trails of ice became complex patterns that intersected, forming a large magical array that completely subjugated the elemental energy in the environment. All frigid, negative and water element mana was sucked into the array as Indomitable Moon was being blasted around faster and faster.

The poor prince was now starting to lose his mind as the array not only accelerated his beating, but it also suppressed his senses. His ability to use Intent was now useless as he started to completely lose his bearings.

He had barely ever been suppressed like this by someone at the same level, but it did not stop there. Even though he was becoming dizzy, he could still tell that he had not only been blasted around but he had been trapped in an array ecosystem.

The fluctuations of energy were overbearing by nature almost as if they were announcing an impeding doom.

Indomitable Moon's dizziness and realisation of his situation caused him to panic, but the crowd was the opposite. The observers were thrilled and went into an uproar.

"Building an array while battling at high speeds. Who is this youth?"

"The Crown Prince of Lycus is actually dizzy, like an ordinary mortal. And this was caused by an unknown mage under level 100. Who would believe this?"

"Not to mention he has been remote casting Loki's Substitution and a Hydrolytic Fission. Those runes were imprinted in the ice as he moved. How many actions was he performing each second?"

"This kid, I think he could be a savant of parallel processing. His mind must be his most incredible vessel. Extremely suited to the path of a mage. He might not be as talented as Ulysses, but his potential will cause chaos."

Parallel casting was the ability to cast multiple spells at once while an array was a type of high-level fusion between spells. Most images would be hard-pressed to do any under level 125, let alone level 100.

As most observers were recruiters, they were very interested in Will's origins. If his master or teacher was weak or open-minded, they could recruit Will into their own organisations and get incredible rewards.

It was obvious to experienced eyes that Will did not have a good quality body. It was also clear that he had little access to decent resources due to his status as a small-time Independent Lord. If he was already this talented without much, then he still had much potential to grow.

In one of the private booths, the normally detached and reticent Natasha grimaced as she panicked internally. At this point, Francis had woken up but was still feverish. She had lost too much vitality and would need more time to heal. She rested her head on Natasha's lap as she saw the battle unfold.

Francis was alarmed by what she saw to the point that she sat up. Natasha would normally force her to rest, but even she was disturbed, placing a lot of force on her armrest. Her frigid mana leaked out covering her armrest in a thin layer of frost.

"There is no doubt about it. It's the Valhalla Array." Natasha said with gritted teeth.

The other maidens of the Frozen Asgard Sect were horrified. This was one of the most difficult spells to use in their mystic arts. But few of them understood how it worked, as no one in their generation or the generations close to them used it. It had been hundreds of years since a disciple of their sect had managed to cast it.

Francis saw the confusion in the eyes of her sisters and decided to educate them, "The Valhalla Array is an array that uses the Valhalla Path as a template. You can imbue compatible spells into it. The array will boost any spell imbued into it by sucking up all energy and acting as a conduit.

Even if the caster is low on mana, so long as they cast a spell through the Valhalla Array, they can create a spell that can effectively power itself. Similar to how The Breath makes one an energy conduit."

"It's not just that," Natasha added, "It can also enhance the main trait of the spell. If you use it for an ice spell, it becomes colder. If you use it with a water-type spell, the spell has more aquatic traits, If you use it to create a seal, the seal becomes tighter. If you use it to teleport, you can go further and travel with stability. If you use it with polarised energy, the energy becomes even more charged. Now imagine If you imbue it with a spell that fits into all the five types of spells I just mentioned..."

It only took a moment for the girls to catch on. Their hearts chilled as they thought about what they were about to see.

Will kept pulling the attention of the enemy while his clone was acting as the core of the array.

An array was a combination of spells to create a bigger spell. This wasn't a simple issue of one spell powering another.

A supermatrix was many matrices complementing each other. This was more additive. Like one plus one. Like forming a mixture between water and oil.

But an array was like forming a compound. Creating something entirely new. It was more like multiplication rather than addition, with array spell used as the template acting as the coefficient and the imbued spell being the variable.

For example, an ordinary spatial rend, if infused into Valhalla Array by the right hands, could become a powerful spell like Spatial Collapse.

The observers tried analysing the runes and geometric shapes, in order to see what spell was being used as the variable.

No one in the crowd had skill in the Dao of Spell casting to tell at a glance. Even immortals and deities had trouble with this. But some like Modus, Odin, Hou Yi and Oddyseus could tell at a glance.

Odin and Modus were Wisdom type Deities while Hou Yi had unmatched observation and vast reservoirs of knowledge.

Hercules was knowledgeable but he wasn't much of a mage type fighter. He needed time to understand and carefully observe while Adelda did the same.
