“But about your ex-boyfriend, you need to pay.” Rooh broke the hug and a smile appeared on her lips. “I dated Advik for almost 11 months. We first had a conversation on his birthday, and we broke up on mine. When I first met him, I thought he was the right person, but later on, he became way too comfortable with his girlfriends, so I broke up with him.”

Glad you broke up. Rooh took a breath and continued further. “I know, I should have told you about him earlier when you told me about your ex– I am being honest Vidyut, I don't know why I didn't talk to you about Adhvik. I know I should have, and I also know that I hurt you a lot, and I am going to do anything that would make you accept my apology.”

My hand made its way to cup her cheek. “I am not angry because of your ex, but because of your lying to me.” Her eyes moved from me to her lap. “I am sorry, I won't ever lie to you.” I smiled and kissed her forehead.

“I trust you. Mrs. Suryawanshi. But that doesn't mean I am not angry with you, it's just that I hate lies.” She blinked her eyes. “I am sorry, and I don't know why he suddenly showed up.”

Past:

“Vidyut, Are you crazy?” Rooh looked at me. She knew I warned him, but he didn't hear me and for the first time, I didn't like this tone of my wife.

“You really broke his hand–” I wasn't jealous when I first got to know about Rooh's ex-boyfriend, but now that she is complaining about his condition to me, it makes me want to break these fuckers another hand. He touched her when he shouldn't have.

After Rooh was out of my eyesight, I took calculating steps towards the man crying of the pain. Bending a little on the ground, so I could look into his eyes, I spoke. “What are you doing here?”

“I swear to my mom, I had no intention to bully her, I just came here with my friends, but after I saw Rooh giggling with her friends, I felt a-annoyed. It was just a coincidence.” How badly I wanted to break his jaw, but I didn't do that.

“I-i will file a complaint against you.” A voice comes from my left. He is probably Advik's friend who got a good beating by Rooh's bodyguard. “Try. By all means, try your best and thereafter, I will try my best to make you crawl on the streets.”  Adhvik gulped.

Poor human thinks, I never knew that my wife dated a boy named Adhvik who is a CA student. I placed a hand on his shoulder and leaned to whisper in his ear. "I hope you don't want to beg on the streets. Do you?” Adhvik hesitantly shook his head. “So make sure to stay away from Rooh and if I find your shadow around her, the next time it won't be your hand but your neck.”

PRESENT.

“You are still angry?” Rooh murmured. “Do you want me to be honest or should I lie?” Yes, that was a taunt. How weird that I can't be angry with her even when I hate lies. “Yes, be honest.”

“I want to be angry with you, but unfortunately, I can't.” She parts her lips. “Vidyut, I know I am wrong–”

“Then pay. Pay me for lying, pay me for not telling me about your ex.” I wrapped my arms around her waist while she brought her lips to my lips just when I turned my face. I heard her sigh in disappointment. Shit. My hand moved to grab her throat and I kissed her harshly.
