The day was finally over. I'm so glad I don't have to see Veronica's pale face until tomorrow morning.

I continue to walk home alone without Aaron. Unfortunately he said he'll 'Catch up with me later'.

He has never ever said that before. We are always together! We were basically raised like siblings, because our birthdays were so close.

Something is definitely up. I guess I'll find out soon. I walk into my houses front door and it's quiet.

My brain finally clicks on. I remembered that my parents we going on a business trip and they took Devanie with her.

I start running around the house in circles and jumping off the sofas.

My phone buzzed and I picked it up it was text from an unknown number.

Kani:who is this?

Unknown: it's me Kani!

Kani: sorry I don't know you unless you tell me your name.

Luke: it's Luke Kani remember!?

Kani: oh yeah!

Kani: what's up and how did you get my number?

Luke: nothing much and Aaron gave it to me

Luke: anyway...do have a date for that party on Friday?

I control my thoughts as I look at another sent text.

Luke:still there??

Kani: yeah I'm here I was just thinking.

Luke: so do you have a date or what?

Kani: no not at the moment.

Kani:pfft were going to ask me or something? Hahaha

Luke:Will you be my date to the party?
